Super Eagles winger Victor Moses has revealed that he missed out on an English Premier League winners’ medal with Chelsea in the 2014-2015 season due to Stoke City’s refusal to end his loan move from the Blues.
Moses, who also had loan spells at Liverpool and West Ham, was sent to Stoke by Jose Mourinho upon the Portuguese coach’s return to Chelsea for his second spell.
It was reported that Mourinho attempted to terminate Moses’ loan move, but Stoke felt he was too important to their cause.
“My agent spoke to me about it,” Moses told ESPN FC.
“At the time I was doing well at Stoke and I said to my agent that I would like to go back to Chelsea and compete for the title, but I left it up to both clubs.
“Chelsea ended up winning the league anyway, and I was happy for the lads.”
