Mourinho Admits “Worst Moment In My Career”, Backs Ivanovic

By James Agberebi:

Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has predicted a difficult game in Saturday’s EPL clash against Southampton at Stamford Bridge, while backing underfire Braslisnav Ivanovic and admitting to having a very terrible time.

Mourinho said in his pre-match conference on Friday regarding the currently error-prone and awfully out-of-form Ivanovic:
“This is something I speak with Ivanovic. And Ivanovic likes to speak with me.
“And he likes to speak with me about his mistakes. He is not a prima donna like in some newspapers, you cannot be criticised.
“I have no doubts that he is my best right-back.
“And I have no doubts that he needs to improve.”
On Saturday’s opponents Southampton, Mourinho said:
“They are a good team. A team that last season we couldn’t beat. We know why (at Southampton) we couldn’t win.

“The match at home we had unbelievable dominance but we respect them. For sure, they are going to give us a difficult match,” he said.

Mourinho went on to describe Chelsea’s recent poor run of results as the worst in his career.

“I define (this) as the worst period of my career, with the worst results in my career.

“I get it as a fantastic experience- an experience that I don’t want to repeat. I want to finish tomorrow and win some matches again.

“I think it comes too late, to come after 15 years is too late, but it’s something that is helping me to be better, a great negative experience.”

He stated further: “I had a big challenge all the time. It’s the worst results, I’ve never lost so many matches. That’s a fact.”
