Nollywood star, Yul Edochie, is fervently hoping that Manchester United appoint former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho as successor to Dutchman Louis van Gaal.
The Red Devils will be guests of Chelsea today (Sunday). Edochie supported the outgoing Premier League champions passionately until owner Roman Abramovich decided to pull the trigger and sack Mourinho as the team hovered around the relegation places in the Barclays Premier League table.
The Chelsea versus Manchester United clash kicks off 5pm Nigerian today.
The award-winning actor spoke to Completesportsnigeria.com ahead of the Super Sunday game at Stamford Bridge.
"The Chelsea results under Guus Hiddink have been okay, but I'm indifferent about their performances these days," Edochie told Completesportsnigeria.com
"I still maintain that Roman Abramovich should not have sacked (Jose) Mourinho. The team were not winning then but who says he can't turn things around for them."
Yul, son of legendary actor and former broadcaster, Pete Edochie, who turned 34 in January, said he was in dilemma about who to support, between Chelsea and Manchester United.
"I don't know who will win on Sunday. Both teams are in good form now.
"Do I support Chelsea and hope they win against United so that the chances of Jose Mourinho being considered for Louis van Gaal's job is enhanced or do I support United since I'm angry with the Chelsea board?
"I will like to see Mourinho manage again in England definitely, and Manchester United will be a good one for him," Edochie reiterated.
