Sunderland manager, David Moyes, has revealed that Nigerian forward Victor Anichebe will be fit enough to face Hull City on Saturday despite an injury scare in their 2-1 win against Bournemouth prior to the international break.
Anichebe opened his goals account for Sunderland, equalising for the Black Cats in their first win of the season.
And ahead of their home clash against Hull, Moyes told Sunderland's official website that the former Everton forward did not suffer any injury and will be fit to play against Hull.
"Anichebe had a rib injury – I got a message after 15 minutes that he might have to come off – but it wasn't a break and he's okay," Moyes said.
The Scottish coach expressed hope that Sunderland will replicate their winning feat when they host Hull.
"We've had a good couple of weeks and it felt good to win again. We've had great support and we want to keep winning."
