Nigeria forward Ahmed Musa was the star of the show in Stockholm, Sweden on Wednesday night as Leicester City lost 4-2 to Barcelona in a pre-season International Champions Cup match.
Despite Barcelona’s huge stars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez playing, it was Musa’s performance that caught the eye on the night.
Coming on as one of seven Leicester substitutes after the break, Musa nearly turned the games around, scoring his first two goals since joining the English champions.
Trailing 3-0 at half-time to a brace from Munir El-Haddadi and a Luis Suarez strike, Leicester looked dead and buried.
But, just three minutes after coming on, Musa pulled one back for the Foxes.
It was a brillian individual goal from Musa, who wriggled free of a challenge inside the Narcelona half and sprinted clear before slotting home. #ICC2016
Musa added his and Leicester’s second in the 66th with another fine finish as he rifled high into the net after Schlupp had won possession high up the pitch on the right.
Youngster Rafa Mujica bagged Barcelona’s fourth to prevent a Leicester fightback.
