Musa, Ogu, Nwakaeme Close To Russian, Israeli League Titles

By Johnny Edward:

Nigeria stars Ahmed Musa and John Ogu could win the league titles with their respective teams on Saturday if they record wins in the final day of their season, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Ogu’s Hapoel Be’er Sheva, which Anthony Nwakeme also plays for in the Israeli Ligat Al, must defeat Bnei Sakhnin to lift their first title in 40 years.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva currently on 80 points lead the three time defending champions Maccabi Tel Aviv with two points.

The Camels last won the league title twice in the 1974–75 and 1975–76 season.

In Russia, Musa’s CSKA Moscow are one win from winning the Russian League title.

The triumph will be Musa’s third league title in five years since joining the club in 2012.

Musa has scored 18 goals in 45 games for CSKA Moscow this season.

Already, Efe Ambrose, Brown Ideye, Kingsley Madu, Rabiu Ibrahim, Kalu Samuel, Blessing Eleke, Nurudeen Orelesi and James Adeniyi have all won league titles with their respective clubs this season.
