Fatai Amoo foresees Better Fortunes For 3SC After Second Away Draw Of The Season

Shooting Stars head coach, Fatai Amoo reckons that the club is now on the right track of recovery afterchalking their season’s second away draw following a hard fought 1-1 finish against Sharks of port Harcourt in saturday’s Premier League week 28 fixture.

Amoo has been on the clif hanger following the Oluyole Warriors recent slump in the campaign and after securing a valuable point against Sharks on Saturday the former Enyimba gaffer paints a bighter picture of the team.

“We give glory to God for the point we salvaged in Port Harcourt despite bizzare frustrations by the match officials”, starts a visibly delighted Fatai Amoo.

“This is our second away point in the season. The first was against Zamfara United after a 2-2 draw.It could have been our first away win but our defender hit the ball on one of our players which went into the net for Zamfara’s equaliser in the stoppage time.

“Like i said earlier, we give God all the glory and of course the players for their unyielding spirit and determination. They fought a great battle despite the fact that the referee gave a red card to one of our players, Festus Iyoma [ in 66mins] which forced us to finish the game with 10 men.

“They did well and I believe that with this spirit we are bound to do far much better in the remaining matches”,Amoo sounded.

Goalkeeper Segun Oluwaniyi was the clear hero for the Ibadan side as he stood between Sharks and the goals, frustrating their search for the winner with his breath-taking saves to deny the home side of the three points.
