ENGLAND


Yakubu Aiyegbeni (Blackburn Rovers): Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni played for all 90 minutes on Saturday but fired blanks as Blackburn lost 3-1 to Stoke City at the Britannia stadium. The match was Yakubu's 8th game of the season in the English Premier League. The former Portsmouth and Middlesbrough front man who is line to make a return to the national team has scored five goals so far.

John Obi Mikel (Chelsea): Manager Andre Villas-Boas did not hand a place to Super Eagles midfielder, Mikel, who has been heavily criticized recently by fans both at home and abroad  as Chelsea bounced back from their UEFA Champions League loss to Bayern Leverkusen midweek to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0 on Saturday. The former Lyn Oslo star has played 11 times for the Blues this season.

Victor Anichebe (Everton): Super Eagles striker Victor Anichebe is still out of action due to a  knee injury which he aggravated while on international duty for Nigeria earlier this year. He was expectedly missing from Everton's 2-0 win over Bolton at the Reebok stadium on Saturday.

Dickson Etuhu (Fulham): Super Eagles defensive midfielder Dickson Etuhu played throughout the duration of Fulham's 1-1 draw against  Arsenal  at The Emirates stadium where the Cottagers have never defeated Arsene Wenger's men .Etuhu had an energetic display but got into referee Mike Dean's bad books in the 45th minute with his third yellow card of the season. The match was Etuhu's ninth game in the EPL this season. The former Norwich City enforcer has now played 370 minutes of football so far this season.

Osaze Odemwingie (West Brom): Super Eagles striker Osaze Odemwingie played for only 18 minutes on Saturday but could not make use of that time to score as third-placed Tottenham Hotspurs came from a goal down to defeat West Brom 3-1 at The Hawthorns. Odemwingie rose from the bench in the 72nd minute to replace Shane Long. It was Osaze's ninth EPL game of the season for the Baggies. The 15-goal hero for the Midlands last season has managed to score just two goals this season.

Victor Moses (Wigan): Prospective Super Eagles striker Victor Moses played for 90 minutes on Saturday as Wigan Athletic picked up  valuable three points to stop their run of three losses on the trot. The Latics pipped Sunderland 2-1 away at The Stadium of Light in a game that was his 13th league appearance.

Sammy Ameobi (Newcastle United): Sammy Ameobi was in action for 24 minutes on Saturday as Newcastle United salvaged a 1-1 draw against Manchester United to remain 4th on the table. The left-footed bomber who trained with the Flying Eagles before the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup replaced Gabriel Obertan midway in the second half.

Nwankwo Kanu (Portsmouth): Former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu was an unused substitute on Saturday at Fratton Park as they were held 1-1 by visiting Leicester City. Papilo has 10 appearances in the npower Championship so far this season.

Dele Adebola (Hull City): Four minutes was all Dele Adebola played on Saturday at the Kingston Communications stadium, home ground of Hull City who lost 3-2 to visiting Burnley. Adebola replaced Robert Brady in the 86th minute in what was his ninth game of the season in the Championship.

Efe Sodje (Bury): It was no surprise to see former Super Eagles defender Efetobore Sodje in the line-up of Bury Town who piped Preston North End 1-0 at the Gigg Lane. He has played 17 times for the Lancashire side this season in the League Two.

Jordan Ibe (Wycombe): British-born Nigerian youngster Jordan Ibe who is attracting the interest from a host of English teams played for just nine minutes on Saturday as Wycombe lost 4-3 against Milton Keynes Dons. The 15 year-old lad has scored once so far in seven League One appearances this season.

Belgium

Joseph Akpala (Club Brugge): Fringe Super Eagles striker Joseph Akpala tasted only two minutes of action on Saturday in the colours of Club Brugge when he replaced Bjorn Vleminckx in the 88th minute against Lierce in what was his 12th Belgian Jupiler game of the season. The former Bendel Insurance star has netted just twice so far in 460 minutes. Lierce had a Nigerian-born Belgian Jason Adesanya  on the bench throughout the game.

Derick Chuka Ogbu (OH Lueven): Nigeria's Derick Chuka Ogbu played from start to finish as OH Lueven lost 2-1 to Sint-Truiden at the Stayen stadium on Saturday. It was the 10th game of the season for Ogbu who has scored six league goals and two in the Belgian Cup for his club this season.

Moses Adam (Westerlo): There was no place for former Flying Eagles midfielder Moses Adam as Westerlo defeated Mon 2-1. Penultimate weekend, the tall player made his first league appearance against Kennedy Nwanganga's Genk which his team lost 3-0.

DENMARK

Peter Utaka (OB Odense); Izunna Uzochukwu, Sylvester Igboun, Rilwan Hassan, Adigun Salami, Jude Nworuh (Midtjylland): Super Eagles fringe striker Peter Utaka scored his seventh goal of the season for Danish side, OB Odense, on Saturday against Midtjylland that also had another Nigerian Emeka Igboun on the scoresheet. Utaka who was on target penultimate week, hit the bull’s eye in the 66th minute. Manager Henrik Clausen pulled Utaka out in the 86th minute for Morten Skoubo in the game which was his 15th game of the season. Igboun scored in the 35th minute, while Hassan was booked in the 54th minute. Salami replaced Uzochukwu in the 69th minute but Jude Nworuh did not play at all.

GERMANY

Chinedu Obasi (Hoffenheim): Super Eagles striker Chinedu Obasi played for 77 minutes before being replaced by Boris Vucevic in Hoffenheim's 1-1 draw against Freiburg. It was his 13th league appearance in the Bundesliga.

Anthony Ujah (Mainz): Dream Team V striker replaced Sami Allagui in the stoppage time of Mainz's 3-2 home win over Bayern Munich at the Coface Arena on Sunday night. It was his seventh appearance in the Bundesliga this term and has scored twice since joining the club in the summer.

ITALY

Christian Obodo,Edward Ofere (Leece): Edward Ofere played for only five minutes when he replaced Leonardo Muriel in the 85th minute. It was Ofere's seventh game of the season. Former Super Eagles midfielder Christian Obodo played his 10th SERIE A game of the season in the game and was replaced in the 74th minute by Daniele Corvia.

Joel Obi (Inter Milan): Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi replaced Ricardo Alvarez in the 46th minute in Inter's 1-0 away win over Siena at the Comunale Artemio Franchi stadium on Sunday. It was his tenth appearance for the Nerazzuri in the Serie A this season and has bagged two yellow and a red card.

TURKEY

Ekigho Ehoisun (Samsunspor): Super Eagles striker Ekigho Ehiosun played for 51 minutes before he was replaced by Ufuk Bayraktar on Saturday as Samsunspor pipped Antalyaspor 1-0. The match was Ehiosun's 10th league game of the season. However, Simon Zenke was not listed for the game.

Joseph Yobo (Fernerbahce): Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo returned to his club's line up on Friday as they played out a goalless draw against Genclerbirligi. It was his 11th game of the season.

Isaac Promise (Manisaspor): Super Eagles fringe player Isaac Promise failed to add to his four-goal tally for Manisaspor in their 1-0 home win against against Kayserispor at the Mays Stadium on Sunday. It was his 11th game of the season in the Turkish Super Liga this term.

Israel

Efe Ambrose (Ashdod): Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose scored his first goal of the season as a defender on Saturday for FC Asahdod in a 2-0 win over Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The former Kaduna United ace got his goal in the 82nd minute but was earlier yellow-carded in the 65th minute. He also scored a goal last season for the Israeli side.

Austin Ejide (Hapoel Petah Tivka): Super Eagles goalkeeper Austin Ejide was in goal but did not pick the ball from his net in a 0-0 draw as Tivka drew goalless against Hapoel Rishon on Saturday.

RUSSIA

Obinna Nsofor (Lokomotiv Moscow): Super Eagles striker cum winger Obinna Nsofor was not listed for Lokomotiv Moscow in their 2-1 away loss to Zenit St Petersburg at the Petrovski Stadium on Sunday.

SWITZERLAND

Kalu Uche (Neuchâtel Xamax): Super Eagles midfielder Kalu Uche played all 90 minutes and failed to add to his five -goal tally for Neuchâtel Xamax in their 2-0 loss away to Sion in the Swiss league on Sunday. It was his 13th appearance of the on-going campaign for his side.

NORWAY

Fegor Ogude (Valerenga): Super Eagles midfielder Fegor Ogude was not listed for Valerenga in their 1-0 win over Stabek at the Ullevaal stadium in Oslo on Sunday. He has so far played 25 games and has scored six times for the team.

Daniel Chima (Molde): Nigerian player Daniel Chima played all 90 minutes for Norwegian champions Molde in their 1-0 away win over Sogndal at the Fosshaugane Campus stadium on Sunday. It was his 24th game of the season and has scored five times for Ole Solskjær's team.

Solomon Owello (IK Start): Former youth international Solomon Owello played all 90 minutes in his 28th game of the for IK Start in their 1-0 loss to Tromsø at the Sør Arena on Sunday.

Solomon Okoronkwo (Aalesund), Chukwuma Akabueze,  Kim Ojo (Brann): Super Eagles winger Solomon Okoronkwo was an unused substitute for Aalesund in their lone goal loss to Brann who paraded the duo of Chukwuma Akabueze and Kim Ojo for the entire duration of the encounter.

 For Okoronkwo, he has played 12 times for Aalesund. Ojo who was yellow carded in the 9th minute has played 28 times, while it was Akabueze's 19th game of the season and has scored only one goal.

PORTUGAL

Elderson Uwa Echiejile (Braga FC): Super Eagles left back  Elderson Uwa Echiejile was not listed for action for Braga in their 3-2 away loss to FC Porto at the do Dragao stadium on Sunday. He has played seven times for Braga and scored one goal.

John Ogu (União de Leiria): Nigerian player John Ogu was not listed for action for União de Leiria in their 2-1 loss to Gil Vicente at the Cidade de Barcelos stadium on Sunday. He is yet to feature for the club since joining them early this month.

Emmanuel Emenike(Spartak Moscow): Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike played from start to finish in Spartak Moscow's 1-1 draw away to Kuban Krasnodar on Saturday. It was Emenike's ninth league appearance this season.  He has scored eight times so far this term.

HOLLAND

Michael Uchebo,Ahmed Musa,Uche Nwofor,Alex Emenike Nkume(VVV Venlo): Former Flying Eagles striker Michael Okechukwu Uchebo grabbed a 17th minute goal for Dutch club VVV Venlo on Saturday, but it was not enough to get the team a good result as they succumbed to De Graafschap 2-1 at their Seacon Stadion. The strike was Uchebo's first in 13 league appearance; while Ahmed Musa was in action and saw 90 minutes of action unlike Uchebo who was replaced by Uche Nwofor in the 65th minute. Alex Nkume was benched throughout the game.

Rabiu Ibrahim(PSV): Former youth international Rabiu Ibrahim was again not used by PSV on Saturday as they walloped Groningen 6-1.The former Gateway FC starlet has played just twice for PSV this season.
