DOSU: ADAMS IS NOT LEAVING WESTERLO
Posted: Jan 16, 2012
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dosu Joseph has denied transfer claims that Westerlo player Moses Adams will leave the Belgian outfit during this January transfer window.
Dosu told Complete Sports in a chat that the speculation linking the former Flying Eagles star with a move to England will only materialize in June if he eventually gets his European Union passport.
However, claims linking the Westerlo midfielder with a move to Spain, England and Italy were dismissed by Dosu, as were those which suggested Adams had opened talks with some clubs.
"We just want him to stay focused on his game and hopefully get his European Union passport then it will be easy to switch if he so desires," the Atlanta 96 Olympic medallist revealed.
"He is at Westerlo, for now he still a player of the club and we will not be leaving" added Dosu.
Adams, who represented Nigeria at 2007 FIFA U20 World Cup in Canada, had earlier revealed that he wishes to quit Belgium for a new challenge.
