Eagles goalie seals four-year deal with French Champions
Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has finally signed a 4-year deal with French Ligue 1 Champions, Lille FC, Complete Sports can Exclusively report today.
The Nigeria international who was part of the team that held Ethiopia to a 2-2 draw in last Sunday’s 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Addis Ababa, informed Complete Sports that he finally put pen to paper for the French club to end his transfer speculation.
Enyeama who joined Bnei Yehuda of Israel in 2005, moved on to team up with another Israeli side, Hapoel Tel Aviv, in 2007 and spent three seasons with the club before moving to France.
The 28-year old goalkeeper scored 8 goals for Hapoel Tel Aviv during his stay in the club with 112 appearances.
Speaking to Complete Sports yesterday, the former Ibom Stars goalkeeper said moving to France will enable him to do more for both club and country.
“I can confirm that I have finally signed a 4-year deal with Lille of France and I am happy that the move will boost my performance for Nigeria and the club.”
Complete Sports however gathered that the two-time CAF Champions League winner, will return to France next week to sort out his accommodation and other things that will help him to have a successful stay at his new abode.
