David Mark Urges Nigeria To Go On International Exile
Senate President, David Mark has advocated that Nigeria football should go on self imposed suspension from international football for two years to review the game in the country!
The Senate President who was speaking on the heels of the Super Eagles disastrous result that led to Nigeria’s exit from next year’s African Nations Cup said that recent performance in our football suggest that we need to go back to drawing board and find the way forward for our football.
“What happened last Saturday was very embarrassing to the Nation and it only goes to show how the standard of the game had fallen in the country and the only way out is to stay off international competition to rebuild our football. We need to re-focus on our domestic football.
“I think, this is the time to go back and ask ourselves some vital questions so that we can know where we got it wrong and start correcting it from there. I believe we have the talents in this country but we need to harness these talents by developing them” he stated.
The Senate President said that he stayed glued to his seat long after the match at the stadium not believing that Nigeria would not be going to the African Nations cup next year stressing that it is more painful considering the fact that while teams from war-torn countries like Sudan, Libya and Niger qualified, Nigeria will not be there.

@ Bakare, what will the Yoruba man do differently?
Mr Mark, i think YOUR GOVT also must go on sabbatical for 8 yrs to allow other right thinking, effective leaders to give power, road & other infrastructures to the country. Even in war -torn Sudan, Libya and Niger, there is power. What an Irony! -

David Mark, you are the senate of the nation for political matters, not for sports matters especially football. Like the other guy's comment, it's national assembly that is worthy of suspension. Leave football with nff.

The saying which states that if you don't know where you are going, You suppose to know where you are coming from seems not working for us in Nigeria. The leaders of this Country has led us to where we are today. They lack vision to project where we are going. May the LORD ALMIGHTY show us the way forward and save us from the looters calling themselves leaders.
God bless Nigeria. -

it is comments like this that makes you wonder the kind of people that is running our football. So who is going into football exile going to help our football, how are we going build the team while in exile with no friendly or any tournament.
Guys, we need really football people to run our NNF, People that actually played the game.
we missed out nations cup 96 and 98 respectively when we were arguably the best time in Africa and we are still suffering from it now. GAINT OF AFRICAN with only to nations cup to show for it.

@gabriel.
plz we shd all stone gabriel where ever we see him. Are u high,? home trainin my foot. i am very sure u took serious local gin. Was it not things like this tht lead to war in liberia?militancy in niger delta. david mark has the boldness to say they shd bound eagles for two year. we are just letting football blind us. the hurricane in CBN has been championing the removal of fuel subsidy and increase in PHCN tariff by 50%. where this ppl want make we enter. Belguim is currently operating without a central government for more than 2years and they are not noticing it. all our leaders do is to increase our suffering, is it not road remainn for people to start constructing. na governemnt we get.
Gabriel, you just make me vex. Your child will ask u what u didnt to help nigeria. and i am very sure your answer will be ma son u wont understand.
See carry this una vex go ask GEJ and hurricane lamido wetin we do dem. how can u remove fuel subsidy and u dont have refineries and u want to increase PHCN tariff by 50%. make una break gabriel head.abeg who know the guy make him tell me.
what is the purpose of the senate, if not to increase the expenditure. u need to know how much is wasted to take care of them. u go fear ur head
