TAIWO PLAYS FOR 89 MINS,GETS TURKISH LOAN OFFER
Super Eagles defender,Taye Taiwo played for 89 minutes last night in Prague,Czech Republic in AC Milan's 2-2 defeat of homers,Viktoria Plzen in their final group game of the 2011/2012 UEFA Champions League after over 30 days of bench-warming.
The Nigerian was handed the chance to prove he is good enough to play for the Italian giants following the huge doubt that surrounded his future at the San Siro after failing to impress coach Massimiliano Allegri and majority of Milan fans who have dubbed him a huge waste of space.
A free agent from Oympique Marseille last summer, Taiwo has failed to take responsibilities on the pitch and so his appearances for the Rossoneri have been limited to only two appearances thus far.
He last played for Milan on November 1 in another Champions League tie at home to BATE Borisov.
But last night Taiwo was given what should pass as a final test to determine if he will stay in January or be shipped out on loan to any willing club and the Nigerian was rated barely average by the media in Italy albeit it was his clearance that gave Milan the second goal before he was substituted by Zambrotta with seconds left in regulation time after coppong what looked like a harmstring injury.
Meanwhile reports in Turkey reveal that Galatasaray have opened discussions with Milan with a view to taking Taiwo on loan in the January transfer window.
However, the unwillingness of the former Marseille of France power-playing defender to leave Italy and the fact that the Istanbul side are not willing to pay more than half of his salary which is about € 150 000 may scuttle the plan.
Taiwo has played just six games in all competitions since arriving from France; the latest being the UEFA Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen in Prague yesterday.
Other European clubs that are on the trail of the 2008 Beijing Olympic soccer silver medalist are Benfica, Werder Bremen and Olympique Lyon.

Pls to correct u Honourable repoter or writer. The game yesterday between Plzen and Ac Milan ended 2 - 2. Ac milan Pato 47, Robinho 48. Plzen ; Bystron 89 and Duris 90+3.

My journalist you are wrong sir as Taiwo wasn't in the Beijing olympic 2008 team.
This Taiwo should chose Werder Bremen or Lyon because he can never win the heart of the Italias due to the colour of his skin.Please leave the Italia side if you don't want to regrect your football life. -

Bravo Taiwo! My advise 2 u is dat; its better u live Milan and go 2 either Lyon or benfica bcos i dont see u geetin it right with d italians and this 2 teams ar european regulars. So pls put on ur thinkin cap.

Taye Taiwo never worry about the some fans and media calling management of AC Milan to loan you out all is part of the game,my advise to is make use of opportunity that comes your way @ AC wheneve it comes play well show the stuff you made up to shut up the mouth of your critics.

sincerely speaking i dont care if he stays or leave but why i am upset is that why cant we have our players in top clubs anymore??? ghana's boateng is in the same milan i mean we need new sets of player..All the same i wish him good luck
