Former Eagles Striker Urges Keshi's Troops Ahead Rwanda Game
Victor Okechukwu Agali is pleased with the home base super Eagles 2-0 win in liberia and wants the Stephen keshi team to use that performance as a spring-board for better performances in subsequent games, especially the 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda in Kigali.
"It is important we started afresh and this should not just end with the victory in Liberia. Lets see the team build on that and replicate that form in Kigali", Agali declared.
The lanky forward pointed out that such victory can only instill confidence in the players.
"There is a lot to gain in such situations. The most important thing is the confidence the players get and such will help them in subsequent matches.
"Of course, they will begin to believe in themselves and this is good for us especially as they are all playing in the domestic league".
Agali expressed satisfaction with the decision of Keshi to invite few number of foreign based players for the match against Rwanda.
"It shows he has confidence in the players he took to Liberia and of course, it means the players in the NPL are relevant in the national team.
"Yes, it is now a challenge for the players [home base] to rise up to the challenge. They have to show that they can do it", Agali sounded.
