Benfica are looking to sign Uniao Leiria Nigerian midfielder John Ogu at the end of the season his agent Ana Almedia has disclosed.
Ogu who emerged Leiria's best player for the month of January after scoring three goals in four league appearances for the relagation battlers could leave for the right price despite signing a four year deal with the club after joining four months ago.
Almeida who brought Ogu to Portugal, revealed that Benfica coach Jorge Jesus is closely
monitoring the 23-year-old Nigerian central midfielder and is desperate to have the former Flying Sports Academy player feature for the Lisbon giants next season.
"At the moment Ogu is a Leiria player but could move to Benfica at the end of the season,"  begins Almeida.
"There is no need to work much on Ogu. He is a good player that can fit into the best teams in the world but we must wait and see what will happen in June."
Ogu, who scored a brace in last weekend's encounter
against Paços de Ferreira is been valued at a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros.
