COD GO FOR BROKE AGAINST BAYELSA
Posted: Feb 12, 2012
City of David Football club will be aiming to make it two wins in a row as they head into a potentially tricky fixture against Bayelsa Unitedthis Tuesday. Whether jet lag with the added pressure to deliver the good in their first season in the Pro-league division remains to be seen but COD United’s hard-fought victory over Insurance at the Onika Stadium means that the Lagos-based side go into this two point above their host.
A win is imperative at Bayelsa on Tuesday and coach Samuel Babalola-tutored lads will have to dig deep into their technical book of trick, and prove their title credentials. It may well be tense and nervy at times, but should COD display character and undoubted quality, they could return to Lagos with three points in the bag.
The Lagos-based side is known for their free flow football and love for soul winning using football as the platform to drive home God's love for humanity. The have won more thousands of fans over with their mouth-watering offers lined up to attract fans to watch their home games.
It would be recalled that only last week COD offered free foods to fans with one lucky fans smiling home with a motorcycle after emerging winner in the raffle draw.
