ENGLAND
John Mikel Obi (Chelsea): Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi returned from his injury woes in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Birmingham City in the 5th round of the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Mikel was ineffective in the game and was replaced by Salomon Kalou in the 57th minute. He has played 14 times in the league this season.
Victor Anichebe (Everton): Super Eagles striker Victor Anichebe was not listed by David Moyes in Everton’s 2-0 win at the Goodison Park against Blackpool in FA Cup game over the weekend. Anichebe has scored once this season in the FA Cup campaign, in a third round clash against Tamworth Rovers. However, he has scored thrice in the EPL and played six times.
Nwankwo Kanu, Kelvin Etuhu(Portsmouth): Former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu was again conspicuously missing in Portsmouth’s game over the weekend. The 1996 and 1999 African Footballer of the Year has not played for Pompey since January 2, 2012, when he featured in a Championship game against Watford. Kelvin Etuhu was not also not handed a place in the game. He has played four times in the Championship this term.
Efe Sodje (Bury Town): Former Super Eagles defender Efe Sodje picked up his seventh yellow card of the season on Saturday in Bury Town’s 3-2 away loss to Exerter at St James’ Park. The 8th minute booking did not however deter the Korea/Japan 2002 World Cup player from churning out a good display. It was his 27th Championship game of the season. He has scored just once so far and has not been red-carded. He has played a total of 2,430 minutes of club football this season.
Magnus Okunghae, Kayode Odejayi (Colchester United): Magnus Okunogahe played for 90 minutes in Colchester’s 3-2 away loss to Yeovil Town on Saturday. The ever consistent defender has now played 26 matches for his club this season. Magnus has been yellow-carded eight times and red carded once this season. He has not scored a goal and has chalked up a total of 2,266 minutes of matches so far.
Ibadan-born Kayode Odejayi who marks his 27th birthday on Tuesday(February 21) played his 27th League One game of the season. He saw just 13 minutes of action when he came on from the bench in the 77th minute in place of Ian Henderson. Odejayi has started 23 times and played as a sub four times. He has four goals to his credit and has been yellow-carded on three occasions.
Solomon Taiwo(Leyton Orient): Solomon Taiwo played his first League One game of the season on Saturday for Leyton Orient in their 3-1 home loss against Scurnthope United at the Matchroom Stadium. He was in action for 67 minutes before being replaced by George Porter.
SCOTLAND
Daniel Uchechi (Aberdeen): Former Olympic Eagle Daniel Uchechi made his home debut for Aberdeen in the league when he came off the substitute's bench to replace Stephen Hughes at half time in his team's goalless draw at home to St Johnstone at the Pittodrie Stadium on SUnday. He has so far played two games for the Dons coming on as a substitute in both games.
Rabiu Ibrahim (Celtic): Former Flying Eagles attacking midfielder Rabiu Ibrahim was not listed for Celtic in their 5-0 trouncing of Hibernian at the Easter Road Stadium on Sunday. The former PSV and Real Massamá player is yet to feature for the Scottish giants after signing a three and-a-half year contract.
ITALY
Christian Obodo Edward Ofere (Lecce): Forgotten Super Eagles midfielder Christian Obodo played for 59 minutes for Lecce as they boosted their hope of avoiding the drop by coming from behind to narrow the deficit on fellow strugglers Siena with a 4-1 win at the Stadio Via del Mare.
It was Obodo's 19th game of the current Serie A season, while his compatriot, Ofere, who has missed Lecce's last ten games has six games to his credit with no goal so far this season. He was however yellow carded in the 37th minute before being replaced by Andrea Bertolacci in the encounter on the hour mark.
Joel Obi(Inter Milan): Inter Milan’s poor form continued on Friday as they were walloped 3-0 by Bologna at the Guiseppe Meazza Stadium. The Super Eagles midfielder was an unused substitute. Obi has not scored a goal this season after 18 games. He has now been substituted on five occasions thus far.
Obiora Nwankwo (Gubbio) Former Flying Eagles captain Obiora Nwankwo played for 81 minutes on Saturday in Gubbio’s 1-0 away loss to Hellas Verona at the Stadio Marc’ Antonio. He was replaced by Simone Garibaldi. Obiora has played seven matches for his on-loan club in the Serie B so far.
GERMANY
Chinedu Obasi (Schalke): Super Eagles forward Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi was not listed for action for Schalke 04 in their 4-0 home win over VFL Wolfsburg at the Veltins-Arena on Sunday. Obasi who made his debut for Schalke in last Thursday's Europa League win over Victoria Plen has played four Bundesliga games for the team he joined in the winter transfer.
Anthony Ujah(Mainz): Former U-23 invitee Anthony Ujah was not listed in Mainz’s 1-1 away draw against Hoffenheim at the Rhein-Neckar Arena on Friday night. Ujah has played 21 matches in the Bundesliga this season and has three goals to his credit.
FRANCE
Vincent Enyeama (Lille): Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama continues to be overlooked by Lille manager Rudi Garcia. The former Enyimba goalie is yet to play a Ligue 1 game for his side this season but has been on duty in a Coupe de France game. Lorient paraded Nigerian-born Swiss international Innocent Emeghara for 68 minutes.
Onyekachi Apam(Stade Rennes): Super Eagles defender Onyekachi Apam was not listed for action for Stade Rennes in their 4-0 loss away to Saint-Étienne at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium on Sunday.
Apam who was replaced only after 25 minutes in last Saturday's 1-0 win over Sochaux has played four Ligue 1 games this season since returning from a long injury lay-off.
BELGIUM
Joseph Akpala (Club Brugge): Super Eagles fringe striker Joseph Akpala score his tenth goal of the season for Clubb Brugge in their 2-1 win over Kortrijk at the Jan Breydel stadium on Sunday. It was his 17th goal of the current campaign in all competition this season for the second placed team in the Jupiler league.
Derick Chuka Ogbu (OH Leuven): Nigeria's Derick Chuka Ogbu scored an 18th minute goal on Saturday but his club OH Leuven still fell 3-2 to visitors Cercle Brugge.It was his ninth goal of the season in 20 Jupiler League appearances.
Kennedy Nwanganga (Genk): Nwanganga was an unused sub in Genk's 2-1 win over Mons on Saturday. He has not scored a single goal for his club this season.
Moses Adams (Westerlo): Former Flying Eagles midfielder Moses Adams was an unused substitute for Westerlo in their 3-1 away loss to league leaders Anderlecht at the Constant Vanden Stock stadium on Sunday. He has played eight times for Westerlo this season without a goal.
PORTUGAL
Elderson Echiejile (Braga): Uwa Echiejile played for 90 minutes in Sporting Braga's 3-0 whitewash of Gil Vicente away on Saturday. The former Bendel Insurance star has played 15 matches this season. He has scored two goals and has been booked six times.
John Ogu (União de Leiria): Nigerian midfielder John Ogu played his sixth game for União de Leiria in their goalless draw against Beira-Mar at the Municipal Marinha Grande on Sunday. It was his sixth appearance for the relegation battlers in the Portuguese Super Liga. He has scored three goals and has been yellow carded twice.
TURKEY
Ekigho Ehiosun (Samsunspor): Super Eagles striker Ekigho Ehiosun who was not listed by Eagles gaffer Stephen Keshi for the February 29 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda grabbed a brace for Samsunspor in a 3-0 bashing of Ankaragucu on Saturday. The former U-23 star scored in the 19th and 26th minutes after Aristde Bance had opened scoring in the 9th minute. The goals have taken his tally to six this season in 16 games in the Turkish top flight.
JosephYobo (Fernabahce), Michael Eneramo (Sivasspor): Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo played for 90 minutes in Fernabahce’s 4-2 home win over Michael Eneramo’s Sivasspor. Yobo who will lead the Eagles in the battle of Kigali on February 29 in a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda has played 26 times this season in the Turkish league, while Eneramo who received a 56th minute yellow card has played 23 games for Sivasspor,with nine goals to his credit. Yobo has scored twice this season and has also been yellow-carded twice. He has played a total of 2,340 minutes of club football this season and has not been subbed.
Isaac Promise (Manisaspor): Former Flying Eagles captain Isaac Promise scored a 16th minute goal on Saturday for Manisaspor but his team lost by 2-1 against Antalyyaspor at the Mardan Stadium. The one-time Grays International of Kaduna player has thus scored nine times for his club this season in 24 league appearances. The Holland 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup winning skipper was replaced in the 54th minute by Brazilian star Kahe.
Nduka Ozokwo(Mersin Idmanyuurdu): Former Flying Eagles captain at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada, Nduka Ozokwo, was not listed for Mersin in the club’s 3-1 loss at home to Galatasary on Friday. He has played 25 matches for his Turkish side this season and scored three goals.
ISRAEL
Nosa Igiebor (Hapoel Tel Aviv): Nosa Igiebor picked up a 65th minute yellow card at the Bloomfield Stadium on Saturday in Hapoel Tel Aviv's 0-0 home draw against Bnei Sakhnin. It was his fourth yellow card of the season. He has started 17 of those matches and scored just once.
Efe Ambrose(FC Ashdod): Efe Ambrose played from start to finish in FC Ashdod's 1-0 away loss to Maccabi Netanya at the Shar-Tov Stadium. He has now played 24 matches this season in the Israeli League,starting 23 of them. He has scored one goal, yellow-carded six times in 1,994 minutes of football.
Austin Ejide(Hapoel Petah Tivka): Super Eagles goalkeeper Austin Ejide was in goal on Saturday when Hapeol Petah Tikva defeated Hapoel Be'er Sheva 2-1. Ejide has now kept 26 league matches for his club so far.
Fidelis Dimaku (Hapoel Acre): Former U-23 defender Fidelis Tochukwu Dimaku played for 90 minutes on Saturday in Hapoel Acre's 2-0- win over Ironi Ramat HaSharon. It was his 14th league appearance this season.
HOLLAND
Uche Nwofor, Michael Uchebo, Alex Nkume (VVV Venlo): Colombia 2011 FIFA U-20 WORLD Cup star Uche Nwofor played for 73 minutes on Saturday before he was replaced by compatriot Michael Uchebo for the remaining 17 minutes of the game in VVV’s 4-1 away win over De Graafshap. Nwofor has now played 14 Eredevisie matches while Uchebo has played 12 games for the Dutch club. Nkume has however played just nine times this season.
SPAIN
Ikechukwu Uche, Odion Igahlo (Granada): Super Eagles striker Ikechukwu Uche justified his inclusion in the 11-man foriegn based list which national team coach Stephen Keshi released last Thursday by hitting a brace for Granada when he replaced compatriot, Odion Ighalo, on the hour mark to move his side five points clear of the relegation zone with a convincing 4-1 home win over ten-man Real Sociedad.
It was Uche's 22nd game of the Spanish La Liga season albeit scoring three goals. He last scored for Granada in their lone goal victory over Villarreal, his parent club, last year September. For Ighalo, he has played 16 games, scored four goals and provided one assist.
Kalu Uche(Espanyol): Super Eagles midfielder Kalu Uche who was not listed for Nigeria’s 2013 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda played for 46 minutes on Saturday for his La Liga side ,Espanyol against Getafe. The game finished 1-1 at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez Stadium and it was his third game of the side, albeit it was his second start. Uche was substituted by Spanish midfielder Alvaro.
Sunday Stephen (Numancia): Former Spanish U-20 star Sunday Stephen was among the scorers on Friday in Numancia’s 5-0 bashing of Cordoba at home. The Nigerian midfielder who has just one cap for the Super Eagles scored his first but club’s third goal in the 63rd minute, barely five minutes after replacing Ivorian Junior Lago.

good radiance to bad rubbish!!!!! afterall all the so called foreign based stars are bench warmers period! or half time players, 20 to 10mins stars. so whats the need of wanting them and they fly down here to play heavy. baba keshi is really spot on and could not have been on a better track than this. keshi carry go nothing will happen. build your home ever ready killer squad. i am out of here.
