Liberia Killer, Mba Ambushes Rwanda
Posted: Feb 21, 2012
Super Eagles hero in last Wednesday's international friendly game against the Lone Star of Liberia, Sunday Mba, has told Complete Sports that he will score against Rwanda in the February 29 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda if fielded by coach Stephen Keshi.
Mba who scored both goals in the 2-0 victory over Liberia to boost the Eagles' morale ahead of the AFCON qualifier says the team is ready for the challenge in Kigali.
"It is not easy to score two goals against any team right on their home ground, but I am happy that God gave me all that I needed to do that," begins the Warri Wolves forward.
"Personally, my desire which I will work towards is to score against Rwanda if I'm selected for the game. Already, I am working really hard to achieve that and I know that it will be possible."
Mba who believes that playing along players like Yakubu Aiyegbeni and other Europe based stars will improve his game insists nothing will stop Nigeria from winning the away game.
"We know the importance of playing at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, so we are going to do our best to win. And playing alongside top players like Aiyegbeni, Yobo, Osaze and co, will be a big motivation for me," he promised.
