MAURICE JOINS PLATEAU UTD
Posted: Feb 12, 2012
Nigeria National League (NNL) club, Plateau United have signed on midfielder Daddy Maurice on loan from Dolphins.
The switch was completed this week after the player was cleared from Dolphins to feature on loan for a season.
Plateau United, who were relegated from the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) last season, had made overtures to sign Maurice on a permanent deal but a N4 million price tag discouraged the Jos-based club from going ahead with the deal.
SuperSport.com was, however, informed that Plateau United and Dolphins settled on a loan deal for the player, which costs the former around N1.3 million.
Maurice goes straight into the squad for this weekend's NNL matchday clash against Zamfara United at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos.
The midfielder, who has been training with Bitrus Bewarang and his team in Jos, has been handed jersey number 13 for the season.
