OGUN STATE TO HOST PARLIAMENTARY GAMES

The 2nd edition of the Parliamentary Games tagged Ogun 2012 is set to hold in the twin cities of Abeokuta and Ijebu Ode areas of Ogun State between 22nd-31st of March 2012.
Consequently, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) that will see to the prosecution of the competition, has been inaugurated.
The committee has as its chairman, the state Commissioner for Sports, Hon.Olugbenga Otenuga .Other members include the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry,Mr Onabanjo Opesanmi, the President of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) Comrade Fatai Jimoh, Secretary General of PASAN, Ololade Oyeyipo.Consultants and members of the LOC include Kayode Oladeji and Ejiro Omonode of Mastersports International.
The 10-day fiesta will feature events like Badminton, Football, Tennis, Scrabble and Table tennis. While Abeokuta will host the Badminton event, other games will hold at the Ultra Modern Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode.
