3SC Chase First Away Win Of The Season To Bauchi
It promises to be an exciting feast of football at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu today as two traditional teams, Rangers International and their oriental brothers, Enyimba International go to soccer war with two ultimate prizes at stake: the maximum three points and club prestige.
Whatever the outcome, two traditional and familiar songs will rent the stadium atmosphere at the end of the 90 minutes of football explosion.
Victory for the hosts, Rangers, will spark out, almost in unison, from the Ogui end of the stadium, to the Obiagu end, with the inspirational Rangers song of “Holy, Holy, Holy Holy, Holy, Holy,Holy, Enugu Rangers, another champions , rent the air.
On the other hand, should things go the Enyimba way, the war/victory song of Nzogbu, Nzogbu, Enyimba Enyi will fill the air.
This will be the setting as the People’s Elephant file out against the Coal City Flying Antelopes in search of their first away win of the season and perhaps their first win over Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in three years.
Rangers are second on the log with 12 points going into this game while Enyimba are 7th on the log with nine points.
In other star fixtures of the week 9 games, Shooting Stars of Ibadan will travel to Bauchi expecting to pick points against hosts, Wikki Tourists.
Shooting has not been spectacular away from home this term but could still deliver a surprise package to their hosts in this one.
Sunshine Stars, 11th on the log, will want to make their home advantage count as they host 12th placed Sharks at Ijebu Ode Stadium just as 4th placed Warri Wolves await the visit of Kano Pillars in yet another crucial match of the week.
