Ex-Super Eagles handler, Samson Siasia, on Saturday morning paid a surprise visit to the national team’s training session in Abuja, Complete Sports can confirm.
According to the camp source, the former Flying Eagles coach who was in charge of the senior national team before the current coach Stephen Keshi was hired to replace him after he failed to qualify the team for the just concluded AFCON surfaced at the team’s training session for his usual weekend playing and relaxation game with the All Stars side, but used the opportunity to share banters with the team’s officials and players who were all present at the FIFA Goal Project training ground.
He thereafter shared pleasantries with his former friends and national team colleagues on ground before wishing the entire team all the best ahead of their upcoming engagements.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles coaching crew headed by Stephen Keshi are not finding things easy at the moment as he plans to name his final team for the game against Rwanda in Kigali next week Wednesday. At the moment, there is palpable tension and suspense among the 19 home-based professionals in camp over who will make the cut of 9 for the Kigali battle.
Keshi had last weekend named the 11 foreign based professionals for the encounter and he is now expected to name an additional 9 players among the home-based stars this week for the 20-man squad that will hit Rwanda for the Nations Cup qualifier.
All the players however expressed their optimism about making the team to Rwanda, with Papa Idris and Sunday Mba, saying they will abide by the decision of the coaching crew irrespective of what happens in the end.
The only player not in camp from the 20 that went to Monrovia was Enyimba’s Sunday Emmanuel who was excused by the coaching crew when the team returned from Liberia.

@ kola usa, how many times did ur useless amodu wished siasia well when he was in charge and triumphing? He continue to show maturity since his exit by congratulating and giving his best support. Fool. Stephen keshi has not played any major game yet and he is yet to play a big game for a good assessment. Good luck keshi and siasia 1. The 2 best indigenous coaches nigeria has.

Nobody even Keshi could visit Siasia's camp, but Amodu had already been to Keshi's camp before Siasia. The point is Siasia's arrogance ticks people off, why Keshi's maturity brings people together. You remember Amodu advised Siasia before the Guinea match and you told him to shut - up, just like Siasia did. SO WHAT IS YOUR POINT?
