UCHE HITS FORM FOR RWANDA

Super Eagles forward,Ikechukwu Uche returned to scoring form yesterday,hitting a brace in his La Liga club,Granada’s 4-1 demolition of visiting Racing Santander.
The goals,Uche’s first in 2012 came barely two weeks before Nigeria confront Rwanda in te first leg of the qualifying game for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The Granada player is one of the 11 foreign-based players Eagles head coach,Stephen Keshi has invited for the February 29 game in Kigali.
The former Getafe striker, who was a second half substitute scored in the 61st and 87th minutes to send a strong message the Amavubi of Rwanda of his readiness to fire the Eagles to a positive result in Kigali.
The 28-year old ex- Real Zaragoza star has now scored three goals for Granada since his summer loan move from his parent club Villarreal. His first goal for Granada came against Villarreal in one of the league matches last year, albeit he has not been featuring prominently for Granada of late. The modest team, who are back in the Spanish top flight this season after over three decades, have now climbed to 13th spot with 28 points from 23 matches.
Uche made his debut for the Super Eagles in 2007 and has scored a total of 13 goals in 34 matches.
