Victor Moses (Wigan Athletic); Victor Anichebe (Everton):

Super Eagles and Everton striker Victor Anichebe replaced Tony Hibbert in the 81st minute and headed home his side’s equalizer two minutes later in their 1-1 away draw against Wigan who also paraded Victor Moses for the entire duration at the DW stadium on Saturday.

It was his third strike of the season for the Tofees since he recovered from a long injury lay-off. For Moses it was his 22nd appearance for the Lactics albeit scoring two goals.

Yakubu Aiyegbeni (Blackburn Rovers):

Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni was expectedly not listed for action as Arsenal thrashed Blackburn Rovers 7-1 on Saturday. The former Everton striker has played 16 times, scored 12 goals and provided one assist for Steve Kean’s side who are presently in the relegation zone.

Taye Taiwo, Danny Shittu (Queens Park Rangers):

Super Eagles left back Taye Taiwo played all 90 minutes in his second game for QPR in their 2-1 home loss to Wolves at the Loftus Road on Saturday.

 His compatriot Danny Shittu is yet to feature or make the bench for the club this season.

Shola Ameobi (Newcaste United)

Newcastle United were at their best on Sunday at the Sports Direct Arena where they defeated Aston Villa 2-1 courtesy of Senegal’s duo of Demba Ba and Pappis Demba Cisse. Shola Ameobi was part of that game and eventual victory which further takes the Toons to the cusp of Champions League football.

The Kabba, Kogi State-born forward replaced Demba Ba in the 90th minute. Shola has thus played 15 EPL games, starting eight of them and coming off as a sub in seven. He has scored just once, got yellow-carded twice and played 812 minutes of club football so far.
His younger brother Sammy was sidelined through injury.

Osaze Odemwingie (West Bromwich Albion):

Super Eagles striker Osaze Odemwingie fired blanks in his 14th appearance for West Brom in their 2-1 home loss to EPL newcomers Swansea at the Hawthorns on Saturday. The former Locomotiv Moscow attacker has only scored four goals so far this term, a far cry from his performance around this time for the Baggies last season.

Dickson Etuhu (Fulham):

Super Eagles midfielder Dickson Etuhu played the entire duration of Fulham’s 3-0 loss to league leader Manchester City at the Ethiad stadium on Saturday. The Nigerian international was lucky not to concede a penalty after he swept City’s playmaker David Silva in the box in the 10th minute. It was his ninth appearance for the Cottagers this term. He was however replaced in the 68th minute by Bryan Ruiz.

Bartholomew Ogbeche (Middlesbrough):

Former Super Eagles striker Bartholomew Ogbeche was not listed for action for Boro as they played out a goalless draw at home to Crystal Palace at the snow hit Riverside stadium on Saturday.



Daniel Uchechi (Aberdeen):

Olympic Eagle Daniel Uchechi missed Aberdeen’s 1-1 home draw against Queens of the South in the Scottish fifth round FA Cup clash at the Pittodrie Stadium on Saturday due to a knock he picked in training. He is yet to debut for the club he joined just last week.



Kalu Uche (Espanyol):

Super Eagles playmaker Kalu Uche made his debut for Espanyol in his second spell at the club in the 82nd minute when he replaced Juan Forin.

The former Almeria player provided an assist in stoppage time for Juan Albin to score a stoppage time equalizer and rescue a point in a 3-3 thrilling encounter against Athletic Bolbao at the San Mames stadium on Saturday.

Sunday Stephen (Numancia):

One cap Super Eagles midfielder played the entire duration of Numancia’s 2-0 win over Alcoyano at the Nuevo Los Pajaritos stadium on Saturday. It was his ninth appearance for the Segunda side this term. The former Poli Ejido player has accumulated four yellow cards and one red this term.



Onyekachi Apam (Stade Rennes):

Fit-again Super Eagles striker Onyekachi Apam played the entire duration of his side’s goalless draw against Nancy at the Marcel Picot stadium on Saturday. Apam who scored an own goal last weekend in the team’s defeat to Olympique Marseille has played three Ligue 1 games.

John Utaka (Montpellier):

Super Eagles striker John Utaka was not listed for Montpellier in their 1-0 home win over Brest at the De la Mosson stadium on Saturday.

The former Portsmouth striker failed to shrug off a knee injury he sustained a fortnight ago.
Vincent Enyeama(Lille)

The game between Sochaux and Lille on Sunday was postponed and  Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama could not get the chance he has been craving for to make his Ligue 1 appearance. Enyeama has played in just one Coupe de France and one Champions League game for his club this season.


Michael Uchebo, Uche Nwofor (VVV Venlo):

Former Flying Eagles strikers Michael Uchebo and Uche Nwofor failed to inspire VVV Venlo in Saturday’s Eredivisie’s relegation showdown at the Woudestin Stadium as they lost 3-1 away loss to Excelsior.

At half time, Uchebo replaced Steven Berghuis, while Nwofor was replaced by Robert Cullen for their tenth and 12th appearances respectively.


Joseph Akpala(Club Brugge)

Super Eagles fringe strker Joseph Akpala grabbed a brace on Sunday in Club Bugge's 5-1 bashing of Beershot at Brugge's Jan Breydelstadion.

The former Bendel Insurance star scored te first of the evening in the 5th minute while he completed his brace on a sunny Sunday in the 41st minute. Akpala has now scored six ties in te Jupiler this season in 20 matches. He has started in seven and came on as a sub in 13 others. He was replaced in the 87th minute by Norwegian Tom Hogli.

Kennedy Nwanganga (Genk)

Genk Coach Mario Been did not list Nigeria's him in Genk's 4-2 away loss to Anderletch on Sunday. Nwanganga who was a key player for the team in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League has played 16 games for the team this season.



Chinedu Obasi (Schalke 04); Anthony Ujah (Mainz):

Super Eagles striker Chinedu Obasi played all 90 minutes and scored his first goal for Schalke 04 in the 59th minute in their 1-1 home draw to earn a share of the spoil after Mohamed Zidan had shot visiting Mainz into the lead in the 15th minute.

Obasi who was booked in the 13th minute of the encounter has played three games for his new side.

Seyi Olajengbesi (Alemenia Aachen)

Former Super Eagles defender Seyi Olajengbesi played from start to finish on Saturday in Aachen's 2-1 home win over St Pauli.

 It was his 20th league game of the season in the Bundesliga 2.

The former 3SC man has played in every minute of the matches so far for his side. He has been booked thrice and has scored one goal.

Macaulay Chrisantus (FSV Frankfurt)

2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner and top scorer Macaulay Chrisantus played for just five minutes on Friday in the colours of FSV Frankfurt when they travelled to MSV Duisburg and picked all the points, beating Duisburg 2-1.

 It was his 16th game of the season. Chrisantus has scored seven goals this term.

 
Egutu Oliseh (Ergotelis)

Former Dream Team midfieder Egutu Oliseh played for 70 minutes before he was replaced by Brazilian midfielder Beto over the weekend in the team's 1-0 home win over OFI Crete.

It was his 13th league game of the season.

 

Joel Obi (Inter)

Super Eagles midfielder Joel Chukwuma Obi played  throughout the duration of Inter Milan's 4-0 drubbing in the hands of  capital club, Roma at Stado Olimpico on Sunday.

 The weekend's games in the Serie A had to be postponed to Sunday due to bad weather.
 The skilful lad has played 16 matches so far in the Serie A.

Christian Obodo (Lecce)

Former Super Eagles midfielder Christian Ndubisi Obodo was an unused substitute on Sunday as his club Lecce were held goalless by Bologna at the Lecce ground, Stadio Cmmunale Via del Mare. Obodo has played 16 matches for his team but there was no place for former Rangers boy, Edward Ofere in the game.

Joseph Yobo (Fernabahce)

Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo scored Fernabahce's first goal in the 14th minute as they handed a 2-0 win over Besiktas at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium on Sunday.

The game was Yobo's 23rd of the season. Yobo's goal was his first of the season.

Senegal's Moussa Sow scored on his debut in the 90th minute to make it an African affair.

Nduka Ozokwo (Mersin Idmanyudu)

Nduka  Ozokwo came off the bench to replace Danilo Bueno in the 59th minute on Sunday in his club's 5-1 defeat in the hands of visiting Sivasspor which paraded forgotten Eagles striker Michael Eneramo for all 90 minutes.

Ozokwo, a former Rangers of Enugu midfielder has played his 23 times so far this season.
 He has scored thrice so far and has bagged four yellow cards.

He has started seven league games and has been a sub in eight appearances.

As for Eneramo, it was his 20th league game of the season.

Only last week, the former Esperance captain scored his 8th goal of the season but was  unable to put any goal on the board on Sunday despite playing throughout the duration of the game.
