WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL: LAGOS, DELTA EYE SEMIS

As the maiden edition of the Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei Wheelchair Basketball Championship gets to the crucial stage; Delta, Lagos and Oyo states look set for the semi-finals.

The host state confirmed its superiority over Niger and Rivers with 63-0 and 72-0 win respectively while Lagos continued its winning streak with a 31-1 victory over Taraba.

Oyo state also defeated Imo 9-6 in a keenly contested match while Borno lost 0-7 to Niger State, just as Edo triumphed over Kano by 15-2 points.

While  speaking at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Asaba Township Stadium, the Technical Director, WBFN, Obrien Adoki, commended the effort of the federation's President over his determination to turn the fortunes of the game around as the Speaker of the State House of Assembly commended the teams for good display which attracted large turnout of spectators.
