ENGLAND

John Obi (Chelsea), Victor Moses (Wigan): Super Eagles midfielder John Obi Mikel played for 16 minutes in Chelsea’s 2-1 narrow win over Wigan Athletic that paraded Victor Moses for 90 minutes.


Mikel replaced Ghana’s Michael Essien in the 74th minute game at Stamfored Bridge which was his 19th EPL game this season. For one-cap Eagles striker, Moses, it was his 32nd EPL game. He has started in 30 of those games and has four goals to his credit. Moses has been yellow-carded three times this season, just like Mikel who has played a total of 1,119 minutes in all his EPL matches so far.

Osaze Odemwingie (West Brom), Yakubu A. (Blackburn):  Super Eagles strikers Osaze Odemwingie and Yakubu Aiyegbeni fired blanks when their clubs West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers squared up at The Hawthorns, home ground of West Brom. However, it was Osaze who emerged the winner  as his club deepened the relegation worries of Blackburn by a 3-0 defeat. Both Nigerians were in action for 90 minutes.

The game was Osaze’s 26th of the season, while the Yak has chalked up 24 EPL games and scored 14 goals, but 15 in all appearances. Osaze has notched up nine goals this term.

Dickson Etuhu (Fulham):  Super Eagles midfielder Dickson Etuhu played for 17 minutes on Saturday in Fulham’s 3-0 away bashing of Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium. The former Norwich City player was a 73rd minute substitute in place of striker Bryan Ruiz, a tactical switch by Martin Jol meant to break up play and retain possession of the ball. It was Etuhu’s 19th EPL appearance in 866 minutes of play this season.

Victor Anichebe (Everton):   Super Eagles forward Victor Anichebe saw just nine minutes of action on Saturday in Everton’s 2-2 away draw against Norwich City at Carrow Road. The Beijing 2008 Olympics star replaced Tim Cahill in the 81st minute. It was Anichebe’s 10th EPL appearance this season. He has four goals to his credit and has been yellow-carded once. He has played a total of 410 minutes so far.

Shola Ameobi (Newcastle United): Newcastle United continued their amazing run in the EPL this season on Good Friday when they defeated Swansea 2-0, courtesy of Papis Demba Cisse’s brace in the 5th and 69th minutes. Shola Ameobi, who is still undecided whether to play for Nigeria or England was an unsued substitute in the game. He has played 22 times this season and has two goals to his credit.
His younger brother Sammyy is still out  due to a knee injury.

Kelvin Etuhu (Portsmouth): Kelvin Etuhu played for 69 minutes in Portsmouth’s 2-2 away draw against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday. Etuhu assisted a Chris Maguire 36th minute goal and then subbed by Dean Kitson in the 69th minute. It was the ninth game of the season for the younger brother of Dickson Etuhu.

Bartholomew Ogbeche (Middlesbrough): Former Super Eagles striker Bartholomew Ogbeche was in action for just six minutes on Saturday in Middlesbrough’s 2-0 win at the Riverside Stadium against Cardiff City.

Ogbeche replaced Nick Bailey in the 84th minute, a game which was his 16th Championship game of the season.

Seyi Olofinjana (Hull City): Forgotten Super Eagles midfielder Seyi Olofinjana was an unused substitute in Hull City’s 2-0 away loss to Milwall at The Den on Saturday.

The battling ace has played just twice for the Tigers this season.

Efe Sodje (Bury Town): Former Super Eagles defender Efetobore Sodje played from start to finish in Bury Town’s 3-0 loss to Brentford at the Griffin Park on Saturday.

The match against the Middlessex side was Sodje’s 33rd League One game of the season. He has scored his second goal of the season penultimate weekend against Tranmere Rovers.

Taye Taiwo (QPR): Super Eagles defender Taye Taiwo was handed his seventh start in the EPL on Saturday in QPR’s 2-0 loss to Manchester United who opened an eight-point gap at the top of the League summit. He has so far played nine games for the relegation battlers since joining Mark Hughes' side in January.

 
GERMANY

Chinedu Obasi (Schalke 04):  Super Eagles forward Chinedu Obasi was benched for the entire duration on Sunday as Schalke mauled Hannover 96 3-0 at the Arena AufSchalke to move a step closer towards earning a place in next season’s UEFA Champions league.

 Obasi has so far played 9 Bundesliga games this season for the Gelsenkirchen side, starting five of those matches and played four times as a sub. The former TSG Hoffenheim attacker has scored just once since his winter switch.

Anthony Ujah(Mainz): Former U-23 invitee Anthony Ujah played for 54 minutes before he was replaced by Adam Szalai. The game was Ujah's 12th Bundesliga game of the season. He has scored twice in 386 minutes of club football this term.

Macaulay Chrisantus(FSV Frankfurth): 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup top scorer Macaulay Chrisantus was in action for 63 minutes before he was replaced by Zafar Yelen on Saturday in FSV Frankfurt's 3-3 draw against St Pauli at the Frankfurt Volksbank Stadium. The former FC Abuja lad has played 23 times for his team this season.


SPAIN

Ikechukwu Uche ,Odion Ighalo (Granada): The duo of Ikechukwu Uche  and Odion Ighalo were both handed starters shirts in Granada’s goalless draw away to Real Mallorca over the weekend to move a point further clear of the Primera Division relegation zone at the Iberostar. For Uche, it was his 29th start of the season for the club albeit scoring three goals, while Ighalo who was replaced in the 70th minute of the encounter by Abel has chalked up 24 appearances, scoring three goals also in the process.

Kalu Uche (Espanyol): Super Eagles midfielder Kalu Uche was in action for 57 minutes on Saturday when Espanyol were held to a 2-2 draw by Real Sociedad at the Estadi Cornellà-El Prat. Uche was replaced by Javi Lopez in the game which was his 10th La Liga game of the season. He has started in seven of those games and has four goals to his credit.

Sunday Stephen (Numancia):

One-cap Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Stephen received a 64th and 89th minutes yellow cards which culminated in his sending off in Numancia's 1-1 away draw against Las Palmas at the latter's Estadio de Gran Canaria on Saturday. It was the first time 'Oryan' would get two yellow cards which resulted in his being red carded but the red card was his second of the season. He has been yellow-carded on seven occasions. The former Spain's U-20 star has now played 23 matches this season, starting 17 of them. He has one goal to his credit.

 
ITALY

Joel Obi(Inter Milan): Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi played for only seven minutes on Saturday in Inter Milan's 2-2 draw against Cagliari at the San't Elia. The dazzling ace replaced Dejan Stankovic in the 83rd minute. It was his 22nd Serie A game of the season.

Christian Obodo,Edward Ofere(Lecce): Former Super Eagles midfielder Christian Obodo and compatriot Edward Ofere were not listed in Lecce's 4-2 win over AS Roma on Saturday at the Stadio Via del Mare. Obodo has played 21 games for Lecce, while Ofere has six games to his credit.

Obiora Nwankwo(Gubbio): Former U-23 midfielder Obiora Nwankwo was not listed in Gubbio's 2-1 away loss to Cittadella at the latter's Stadio Pier Cesare on Saturday. Nwankwo has played 12 times for his on-loan side this term.


FRANCE

John Utaka(Montpellier): Forgotten Eagles forward John Chukwudi Utaka was in action for 90 minutes on Saturday in Montpellier's 2-1 home win over Sochaux and he assisted Souleymane Camara's 55th minute goal. The win further enhances Montpellier's push for the Ligue 1 title and the game was Utaka's 28th Ligue 1 game of the season. He has started in 27 of those games and has five goals to his credit. Sochaux have not handed a debut to former U-17 World Cup winner King Osanga.

Onyekachi Apam (Stade Rennes): Super Eagles defender Onyekachi Apam played for 90 minutes on Saturday in Stade Rennes' 3-1 away win over Evian TG at the Park de Sport. Apam has thus played seven Ligue 1 games for Federick Antonetti's men. He has started in all of those matches, bagged three yellow cards and has been sent off once.

Vincent Enyeama(Lille): Super Eagles first choice goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama was unsurprisingly on the bench on Saturday in Lille's 3-1 away loss to Brest. Enyeama has not been in goal in the Championnat since his move to France.


TURKEY

Joseph Yobo (Fernabahce): Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo played for 90 minutes on Saturday in Fernabahce's 2-0 home win over Antalyaspor at the Sükrü Saracoglu Stadium. It was Yobo's 33rd game of the season. Yobo has played a total of 2,970 minutes of club football this season.

Ekigho Ehiosun,Simon Zenke (Samsunspor) ,Michael Eneramo (Sivasspor): Super Eagles striker Ekigho Ehiosun played for 90 minutes on Saturday but fired blanks in Samsunspor's 2-1 loss against Sivasspor at the May 19 Stadium. Former Flying Eagles striker Simon Zenke was not listed for the game but there was a great Nigerian influence on the day as Michael Eneramo scored Sivasspor's first goal in the 33rd minute. It was Eneramo's 11th goal of the season. Ehiosun has 30 games to his credit, while Zenke has played 22 times so far. The match was Eneramo's 29th of the season.

Nduka Ozokwo(Mersin Idmanyurdu): Former Flying Eagles captain Morrison Nduka Ozokwo played for 60 minutes before he was replaced by Liberia's Tonia Tisdell in Mersin's 2-0 loss away to Eskisehirspor on Saturday. It was Ozokwo's 28th game of the season.


UKRAINE

Ayodele Adeleye, Sani Kaita, Jamiu Alimi, Fanendo Adi and Abdul Afolabi (Tavriya): Nigerian youngster Fanendo Adi scored his first goal of the season after five games for Tavriya in their 2-0 away win over llichivets on Sunday, while Super Eagles defender Ayodele Adeleye played his 16th league game of the season for the club. Adi who hit the target in the 52nd minute was replaced by his compatriot Jamiu Alimi in the 90th minute of the encounter for his sixth appearance for the club. The trio of Sani Kaita, Abdul Afolabi and Aliyu Goyi were not listed for action.

Lucky Idahor(Zorya): Former Julius Berger strike star Lucky Idahor played for 90 minutes on Saturday in Zoya's  3-2 win over Chornomorets. It was his sixth game of the season. He has two goals to his credit.

Brown Ideye(Dynamo Kiev): Super Eagles forward Brown Aide Ideye played for 87 minutes on Saturday in Dynamo Kiev's 2-0 loss to Shaktar Donetsk. The Nigerian was replaced by Tunisia's Admir Mehmedi but was yellow-carded in the 71st minute.

Michael Odibe(Arsenal Kyiv)

Dream Team V striker Michael Odibe scored a brace in the 8th and 64th minutes as Arsenal Kyiv hammered Obolon 4-1.

 
BELGIUM

Derick Chuka Ogbu(OH Leuven): Derick Chuka Obgu was not listed in OH Leuven's 6-4 loss to Cercle Brugge. Ogbu has played 23 matches this season in the Jupiler and has scored 10 goals so far.


PORTUGAL

Elderson Echiejile(Braga): Super Eagles left back Elderon Uwa Echiejile played for 90 minutes in Braga's 1-0 loss to Porto on Saturday at the Estadio AXA. Echiejile has played 22 matches this season.

John Ogu(Uniao de Leira): John Ogochukwu Ogu was in action for 76 minutes on Saturday in Uniao Leira's 0-0 draw at home against Gil Vincente. Ogu was replaced by Marcos Paulo in the 74th minute.
He has scored three goals in 13 league matches.


RUSSIA

Ahmed Musa (CSKA Moscow): Super Eagles winger Ahmed Musa played for 69 minutes before he was replaced by Sekou Oliseh on Saturday in CSKA Moscow's 0-0 draw at home against billionaires Anzhi Makhachkala. It was Musa's sixth game of the season in which he has scored once. Musa has started in five of those matches. The former Kano Pillars player has played a total of 379 minutes of club football this season.

Emmanuel Emenike (Spartak Moscow): Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike scored his 11th goal of the season for Spartak Moscow in their 2-0 home win over Kuban' Krasnodar at the Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday to move up third on the Russian championship log title race. It was his 17th appearance of the season for the club.

Victor Nsofor (Lokomotiv Moscow): Victor Obinna Nsofor was in action for all 90 minutes in Lokomotiv Moscow's 0-1 loss to Zenit at the Lokomotiv Stadium. He has now played 10 matches in the Russian Premier League, scored once and has been yellow-carded thrice, one of those bookings culminating in a red card.

Isaac Okoronkwo (Rostov):  Former Super Eagles defender Isac Okoronkwo was an unused substitute in Rostov's 1-0 loss to Amkar Perm'. Okoronkwo has played 28 matches for his club so far this season.

Obafemi Martins(Rubin Kazan): Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins played for an hour on Saturday in Rubin Kazan's 1-1 vital  away draw against Dinamo Moscow at the Arena Khimki. He was replaced by Turkish midfielder Gökdeniz Karadeniz. Martins has now played seven matches for his team this season.

MALTA

Onome Sodje (Floriana): Onome Sodje scored a 78th minute goal for Maltese side Floriana on Saturday as they defeated Silema Wanderers 3-1 away at the Ta'Qali National Stadium. It was Sodje's third goal of the season in four league games.
