GIWA FC, PLATEAU UNITED, IN RACE TO STOP NASARAWA

Two Jos based division B clubs, Giwa FC and Plateau United could lock their various supporters against each other as they battle to overtake Nasarawa United, which is currently on top of the group with 29 points. With a total of 25 points and two home matches to go, Giwa FC looks favoured to grab the sole group ticket to the premier league as they look set to demolish Sokoto United this weekend in Jos. Plateau United will travel to Lokoja to see if they can salvage a point against Kogi United in order to remain in top contention for the promotion ticket, while relegation hunted Meridian FC of Kano will visit middle placed Zamfara United in Gusau in an attempt to fly out of the threatened zone. Another relegation threatened side, NAF FC of Abuja will host Adamawa United in a battle for survival.
