Babadidi Resumes Training

Gombe United goal poacher, Mustapha Babadidi, who was the league’s leading top scorer with nine goals before he picked up an injury that laid him off the pitch for three months, is set to return to action before the end of the season in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).

The teenager was sidelined due to a knee injury he sustained against Enugu Rangers at Pantami Stadium in an NPL rescheduled game in Match day three, which ended 2-1 in favour of Gombe United.

”I’m feeling fine now and I have resumed training,”The Desert Scorpion’s front man said, He added that he hopes to feature for Gombe United before the end of the season.

“I hope I will recover and feature in some of my team’s matches before the season comes to an end. I have really missed football but I am putting behind me the disappointment and looking forward to regaining my real form when I am fully fit for matches.”

Gombe United Media Officer, Halilu Mohammed Teli disclosed that the Desert Scorpion’s ace is on the right track to make a return and they (Gombe United) are expecting him to be fully fit for action in the penultimate week.

Halilu added that ”Babadidi would have been in full training by now but things did not work out as expected.” Babadidi is currently going through light training and he will be available before the end of the season.
