Keshi Set For ANC Draws

Super Eagles boss, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi is billed to jet out of the country next week for the final draws of the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifiers which would hold on July 5 in South Africa.

In a telephone chat with Complete Sports Saturday, Keshi said he is praying for a favourable draw to facilitate easy passage for his team to the African Mundial billed for next year.

“I will be in South Africa for the Nations Cup Draw and I’m looking forward to getting a favourable draw.
“Of course, all the teams that have made it to this level are no pushovers and we’ll not be taking anything for granted irrespective of the countries the draw might pair us with.
“To get to the Nations Cup, we just have to work hard to improve on our recent performances. After the draw, I will be able to gather some information and materials about our opponents which would help us to prepare very well for the matches,” said Keshi.
It would be recalled that Nigeria failed to qualify for the last ACN in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, after losing the qualification ticket to Guinea under erstwhile coach, Samson Siasia.
