NFF RENEW INTEREST IN GABON FRIENDLY FOR EAGLES
The Nigeria Football Federation has renewed interest in Gabon ahead of the proposed international friendly match to be played by the Super Eagles in August, Complete Sports has learnt.
The game was earlier called off at the instance of the NFF, but it appears that is back on track now with reports that the football house
is already in talks with their Gabonese counterparts on the possibility of holding the match.
A top official of the NFF informs Complete Sports that it is part of the efforts to engage the team in top tune-up games ahead of the final qualifying matches for the 2013 Nations Cup and the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
“We are discussing with the Gabonese FA on the possibility of having the two national teams play a friendly match,” the NFF official told Complete Sports.
“Right now, we are still discussing issues like the venue for the match among others.”
