YOU WILL NEVER WALK ALONE
Posted: Jun 12, 2012
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has advised Victor Moses to shun offers from other clubs and join Liverpool.
However, the Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation Chris Green wants the skillful player at Liverpool’s bitter rivals Manchester United.
The Wigan star is expected to leave the modest club for a bigger side in the summer, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Sunderland and a host of others reportedly interested in his services, even as Wigan chairman Dave Whelan insists the Super Eagles winger is going nowhere.
Moses caused a stir on the flight from Malawi to Abuja, whe Green, who is a supporter of Manchester United, told him that the best place for him to ply his trade will be on the red side of Manchester. But Keshi who was a shouting distance away from where Green was joking with the Eagles ace, countered by telling the Wigan star to sign the dotted lines for Liverpool.
“If you do that you will never walk alone,” said Keshi, a fan of Liverpool.
Rangers International of Enugu winger, Ejike Uzoenyi, who was watching the drama, would not be left out of the banter without making his own contributions.
“Arsenal is the best club side in the world and I will advise Moses to sign for them,” he said. Ejike is a supporter of the London Gunners.
Moses was totally bemused by the arguments over his next port of call and when prodded by Eagles Media Officer, Ben Alaiya, where he would be next season, the player he flashed a disarming smile and said: “It’s only Nigeria for now. My agent and other people know where best I can play and they are working on it, at the right time a decision will be taken.”
