Mr. Odemwingie Sheds Honeymoon Hangovers
After a well-spent honeymoon with his beautiful bride Sarah in Florida in the United States of America, Super Eagles forward Osaze Odemwingie has since returned to his English Premier League side, West Bromwich Albion for pre-season training.
Odemwingie who has been the Baggies top scorer (25 goals) since he arrived at the Hawthorns two seasons ago, would be hoping to continue on a successful spell under new coach, Steve Clarke, following the exit of former handler Roy Hodgson. Clarke, took his first session at the club’s Walsall training ground after the players reported last week for fitness tests after their summer break.
Thereafter, West Brom suffered a 1-0 away defeat, losing to Blue Square North side, Worcester City on Tuesday after which they jetted out to Sweden in continuation of their pre-season programme.
Odemwingie is part of the 25-man squad with West Brom recently rejecting a big money bid for the player from Qatar side, Al-Gharrafa which is are based in Doha.
Coach Clarke would be banking on Odemwingie and Shane Long’s partnership in the Baggies attack to continue their inspiring run in the Premiler League next season.
The Baggies have warm-up matches lined up against the likes of Tamworth, FC Copenhagen and a host of others coming up by month end and early August.
