Eagles Keeper Ready For Israel New Season Challenge


Super Eagles goalkeeper, Austine Ejide was impressive in Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s three games as the Israeli Ligat Ha’Al side rounded up their pre season in Poland at the weekend.

Before returning to Israel at the weekend, Be’ er Sheva held Olympiakos Nicosia of Cyprus to a scoreless draw with the Nigerian seeing action all through the 90 minutes.

In the second tune game, Ejide was substituted in the 76th minute with scores at 2-0 in favour of Be’er Sheva.
Before heading home at the weekend, Ejide and his new club drew goalless with Widzew Lodz of Poland with the former Bastia of France stopper in goal.

An elated fair-skinned Ejide told Complete Sports on Sunday that he is looking forward to a successful season with his new club.

“It was a good experience in Poland. You know I’m just new in the club but I can say we had a nice time in Poland”, Ejide told Complete Sports.

“Our league season here in Israel will start on August 24. We will play home to Bnei Sakhnin and I cannot but look forward to the opening game”, he added.
