Enyimba Striker Keen On Akwa United Revenge
Posted: Jul 28, 2012
Enyimba International FC striker, Onyekachi Okoye has stated that he is fully-charged for his side’s Round 35 Premier League game with Akwa United this weekend.
‘’I’m looking forward to the match because Akwa United is my former team, and I need to show them that I’m now a better player.
Okoye, who missed the People’s Elephants’ 2-0 defeat by Prime FC in the Federation Cup in Ibadan on Monday, declared that the match is a must-win for the two-time African Champions who were held 1-1 by their hosts in the first meeting.
‘’They (Akwa United) owe us because they played a 1-1 draw with us in Aba the first leg and we have to prove to them that that result was a fluke.
Enyimba, in third spot on the table on 52 points, are in tussle for a topthree finish in order to fulfil their aspirations for continental action next season.
