NO CAUSE FOR BLUES ALARM!

Nigeria midfielder,Mikel Obi insists there is no cause for alarm after Chelsea lost their second game in as many days to round off their pre-season tour of USA.

Obi,who completed his first 90 minutes of pre-season on Saturday night in Miami and despite tasting defeat for the second game running, insists Chelsea are moving in the right direction.

The midfielder was one of four players to play the whole game against AC Milan in the testing Florida heat, and believes he is on the right path for full match fitness.

'I feel good, I think it was a good game for us. It was not the result we would have wanted but there are positives we can take and try to build on it,' said the 25-year-old after the 1-0 loss.

'We didn't create many chances, but there were opportunities and maybe we were just one pass or one run short, so we are getting closer to how we want to be, and if we can keep doing what we are doing we will start to open teams up and improve our play.

'It is still pre-season and we have time to work on a few things before we get to the competitive games.'

The Milan game brought to an end Chelsea's summer tour of America, which has seen the Blues play four games in 11 days, and returned to London yesterday to face Brighton and Hove Albion at the weekend before the Community Shield match against Manchester City at Villa Park on August 12.

'I think we are all keen to get back home now but it has been a great experience playing in America and meeting so many amazing fans,' Mikel said before the team departed USA.

'Now we have to get back and build on what we have done on the tour and we will be in a good place on August 12 for the Community Shield.’
