YAKUBU, UTAKA ON FIRE IN CHINA

Out of favour Super Eagles strikers, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Peter Utaka were again on target for their respective Chinese clubs Saturday.

Yakubu netted his third goal since his arrival in China, when he scored after 62 minutes for Guangzhou R&F to bring his team back into reckoning in the game after they fell behind 2-0 to hosts Hangzhou.

The game eventually ended in a 2-2 draw.With this draw, Guangzhou R&F are now fourth on the table with 29 points.

 The former Blackburn Rovers striker has now scored two goals in the league and one in the Cup.

Compatriot Peter Utaka, on the other hand, registered his name on the scorers’ chart in China when he scored for Dalian Aerbin in the 70th minute for his team’s second goal in a 5-3 loss at Liaoning Hongyun.

The younger brother of John Utaka has now scored 11 goals for Dalian.
