IDEYE KEEN ON PREMIER LEAGUE MOVE
Posted: Aug 20, 2012
Highly-rated Dynamo Kiev forward, Brown Ideye, is hoping for a dream move to England in the nearest future.
But the 24-year-old who caught the eye last term when he struck 15 goals for the Kiev based outfit declared that he would not just join any team in his quest to live that dream.
"I dream about England all the time, but I'm well aware that I've not played 75% of my national team's game which was the reason why I could not join West Brom then."
"I believe that one day, I could end up in England and not just any team, but one of the top teams and that's my dream. For this, I need to continue to improve my game."
"But I'm happy that I joined Dynamo Kiev. Everything I need to develop as a player is here, and I'm grateful to the coach who gave me this opportunity to play and develop. I love this atmosphere and the fans."
The former Ocean Boys hitman further revealed that he shunned the lucrative offer from Russian side Rubin Kazan to join Sochaux in the 2009/2010 season because he needed to play regularly.
"My manager told me then that there were three clubs (Sochaux, Rubin and Hertha Berlin) ready to sign me, and the most tempting offer was from Russia."
"But for me, money does not always play too much role. I wanted to play in the French championship. I felt that I was ripe for it then. And the fact that there are lots of African players in the French league, it suited me better than Russia."
Ideye has so far scored six goals in six league appearances and eight in all competitions this term.
