IDEYE WINS DYNAMO PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD
Posted: Aug 17, 2012
Dynamo Kiev's Nigerian striker, Brown Ideye, believes he is capable of scoring in every game for his club this season after he won the club's player of the month award for July.
The striker who has so far scored eight goals in all competitions for Dynamo amassed a total of 37.7 points ahead of the duo of Andrew Yarmolenko and Ognjen Vukojevic who finished second and third with 35.9 and 29.5 points respectively.
He disclosed that playing alongside the duo of Artem Milevsky and Andriy Shevchenko in his debut season at the club has improved his instincts in front of goal as a striker.
"They are great players and we understand each other so well on the pitch because they brought out the best in me- which is yielding so well this season. With my current form, I'm capable of scoring in every game for my club,” the former Sochaux star said.
"The key to my success is hard work in training. I can play as a lone striker or with a partner, but the most important thing for me is to score and get the much needed result in all games.
"We must move on from match-to-match and if we continue to win, then the probability of winning some of the biggest prizes would be very high."
Ideye also believes that his compatriot Taye Taiwo will also succeed at the club.
He added: "He talked with everyone at the club because he wanted to join the Dynamo family. I knew Taye before he came to the club. He is a funny guy, always joking. I am glad that he joined us. I hope he will succeed in Kiev."
Taye has so far played two league games since joining on a season-long loan deal from AC Milan few weeks ago.
