TOBLOW: OKAGBARE CAN STILL WIN MEDAL AT THE OLYMPICS

Tips 4 x 100m Relay Team To Spring Surprise

Athletics coach, Tobias Igwe has posited that Blessing Okagbare can still win medal at the on-going Olympic Games in London despite her disappointing 8th place finish in the 100m women race at the weekend.
The Nigerian queen of the track remained the country's brightest medal prospect in the athletics event at London 2012 Summer Games but her elimination on Saturday hightened fears of a possible medal drought for Team Nigeria at the Games.

But Igwe who was part of Team Nigeria athletics coach at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games reasons that Okagbare could still win medal for Nigeria in other events.
"Okagbare is a 10.9 runner so I was not surprised that she lost to those sprinters with better records as 10.7 and 10.6 seconds", Igwe who is called Toblow said in reaction to Okagbare's sensational 8th place finish in the 100m race.
Toblow who faulted Team Nigeria's pre- tournament build up however breathed fresh air of medals hope into Nigerians that despite Okagbare's poor performance in the 100m race, she can still win medal in the Long Jump event just as he added that the 4x100m women race and Taekwando could fetch medals for Nigeria at the Games.

"It is sad she lost out because before the games started Okagbare was seen and regarded as Nigeria's brightest medal hope.
"But then, she can still make up for that disappointment in the Long Jump event.
"Besides, Doris Amata competing in the High Jump event also hold medal prospect, in fact Amata appears to be our brightest medal hope at the Olympics.
"We also have hope in the 4x100m women event which will see Okagbare also competing as well as the Taekwando event", coach Igwe stated.
