Uche: Villarreal Are On The Right Track

Super Eagles forward, Ikechukwu Uche, says Villarreal are on the right track towards taking the next campaign by storm and play their way back to the La Liga at the end of 2012/2013 season.

The talented striker scored his team’s lone goal in a pre-season game against French side Toulouse after a brilliant individual move and afterwards declared that things are looking up for the team that was relegated to the lower division last season ahead of the commencement of the new league season.

"Whatever the outcome of the game, it does not matter at this time; what is important is that we are adapting to the coach’s tactics and the feeling in the camp is good. So, we 're on the right track," said the former Real Zaragoza player who was on loan at Granada CF last season.

"We played very well against Toulouse, we had so many chances to score more goals and we are gradually adapting to a particular playing style. However, we must get it going from there.”

"We do not know who we 're playing at the beginning, neither do we know if more players will join us, but we don’t have to worry too much about that. We must just focus on improving and assimilating the ideas of the coach. The pre-season games are going very well for our preparations and that's the most important thing," he added.
