Sodje Set For Preston Stay
Posted: Sep 14, 2012
Preston are set to offer Akpo Sodje a new contract, with the striker scoring four goals in six games so far for the club.
The 32-year-old moved to Deepdale on a short-term deal in the summer and that is set to expire after Saturday's visit of Crawley.
And under current Football League rules, Sodje would not be able to play for another English club until January.
"Akpo is here until after Saturday's game and we are looking to do something so he is available to us after that," chairman Peter Ridsdale told the Lancashire Evening Post.
"He's done really well and I fully expect us to extend the current arrangement. Akpo can't go and play for anyone else, so that's not something we have to worry about.”
