By Richard Jideaka, Abuja:
The Rio Olympic Games qualifier between Nigeria's Super Falcons and their counterparts from Equatorial Guinea earlier scheduled for Port Harcourt will now hold in Abuja, Complete Sports can report.
Official source at the NFF secretariat revealed to Complete Sports that the federation had to resort to the original arrangement for the match by returning the game to Abuja.
"Yes, it is true that we have returned the Super Falcons game with Equatorial Guinea to Abuja from Port Harcourt where we moved it to for convenience sake. We cannot play in Port Harcourt again because the stadium has yet to be inspected and it is not in the approved list of stadium by FIFA," says the source.
Complete Sports source further stated that the Olympic qualifier between Nigeria and Congo men's team will still be played in Port Harcourt because the stadium has the approval of CAF and FIFA are not directly in charge at this stage.
It will be recalled that the NFF had communicated FIFA and CAF that both matches will be played in Port Harcourt on July 18 and 19.Uncover how I make $750 weekly on Facebook using never been revealed Social Media tools.
