Nigeria's Super Eagles have previously met the Taifa Stars of Tanzania six times in senior international games. Nigeria won four, while the other two encounters ended in draws.
A total of 13 goals have been scored in the six previous meetings between them, Nigeria scoring 10 goals and Tanzania with three goals.
Saturday's game will be the second meeting between the teams since Nigeria's senior national team name was changed to Super Eagles from the Green Eagles – after the 1988 African Cup of Nations where the team were finalists.

The first time both countries squared up against each other was on 6 July 1972 in an international friendly. The game ended goalless.
They met for the second time on 12 January 1973 in an All African Games qualifier. Nigeria won that contest 2-1.
Nigeria's Green Eagles defeated the Taifa Stars 3-1 at the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations in Lagos. Nigeria went on to win the tournament at home.
The fourth meeting between these teams was on 6 December 1980. The occasion was a 1982 World Cup qualifier. This game was the first leg fixture and it ended 1-1. Neither of both teams qualified for the senior World Cup held in Spain.
The second leg in Dar es Salaam on 20 December 1980 ended 2-0 in favour of Nigeria.
The immediate past clash between Tanzania and Nigeria was on 11 September 2002 in an international friendly. Nigeria defeated Tanzania 2-0.
Matches at the senior level isn't the only confrontations between both countries.
They have faced each other twice at the U23 level; two-legged 2012 Olympic Games qualifying matches.
Tanzania defeated Nigeria 1-0 on June 5 2011 but that victory was overhauled two weeks later when the team coached by Austin Eguavoen defeated the Eastern Africans 3-0 in Benin, Edo State.
Sadly, Nigeria did not qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London.
At the U20 level, Nigeria were winners over Tanzania in 1998 when both sides met in a qualifying game for the 1999 CAF U20 Youth Championship held in Ghana.
Nigeria and Nigeria faced each other in a 2013 CAF U20 Youth Championship qualifier. The Nigerians won at home 2-0 and 2-1 away.
The Flying Eagles, on May 24 2014, beat Tanzania 4-1 in Kaduna to qualify for the third and final round of the 2015 African Youth Championship qualifiers.
The Eagles qualified on a 6-1 aggregate, after they had won the first leg match two weeks earlier 2-0 in Dar es Salaam.
