Nigeria Handball Men’s Team Lose To Egypt, Face Olympic Elimination

Nigeria national men's handball team lost their second game to hosts Egypt 34-20 at the 22nd edition of the 2016 African Men's Handball Championship in Cairo on Saturday.

The result leaves the Nigerian team bottom of Group A with no point.

Their next game comes up against Gabon, who have also lost two games but are ahead of Nigeria on goals difference.

Meanwhile, Egypt top Group A on four points. They are followed by Morocco who are also on four points, in third position is Algeria and fourth place position is Cameroon.

The 2016 African Men's Handball Championship is the qualifying tournament for the Rio Olympics and the 2017 World Men's Handball Championship.
