Japan U-23 defender Tatsuki Nara has been ruled out of the Rio Olympic Games men's football event which kicks off in August.
Japan are in Group B with Nigeria, Sweden and Colombia in the men's football event of the Olympic Games.
The Japan Football Association on Sunday reported that Nara broke his left shin bone on Saturday in a 3-1 home win for Kawasaki Frontale against Vissel Kobe.
Nara will now be out for four months and will also miss the upcoming Toulon International tournament in France.
Meanwhile, Shimizu S-Pulse defender Genta Miura has been called up as his replacement.
