Flying Eagles Trounce Abuja Amateurs 4-1

By Adeboye Amosu:
The Flying Eagles continue their preparations ahead of next week's 2017 CAF U-20 Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sudan by thrashing Amakson Academy of Abuja 4-1 in a test game on Wednesday, reports

Chinedu Maduekwe opened scoring for Emmanuel Amuneke's side in the sixth minute of the encounter.

Kehinde Ayinde scored twice in the 28th and 35th minutes to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead going into the half- time break.

Coach Amuneke introduced some fresh legs after the break and it wasn't until the 74th minute that his side scored their fourth of the game through Orji Okonkwo.

Amakson Academy bagged their consolation late in the game.

It would be recalled that the Nigeria U-20 side defeated their U-23 counterparts 4-3 in a friendly game at the Abuja National Stadium last Saturday.

They will face Sudan in the first leg of the Final Round qualifier of Zambia 2017 CAF U-20 AFCON next week Friday.
