  1. With the recent brouhaha in the eagles camp, i don’t see Our players shunning out great performance on that day because i believe that psychologically they are not in 100% shape..But nevertheless since there is this big rivalry between NIG. VS CAM. i still have the assurance Ahmed musa would be a difference on that day. But on the part of the Cameronians, they too want to prove a mark that they are “coming up” after there absence in AFCON. Vincent Aboubakar is a player that is capable of tearing Eagles defense if called upon. Prediction: Cameroon 1-2 Nigeria

I started watching the clash between the Super Eagles of Nigeria & The Indomitable Lions of Cameron in the 90’s, the most memorable one is the Nigeria/Ghana 2000 Nations Cup where we lost to them on Penalties. John Obi Mikel which all see as being a bench warmer will turn-up to silent his critics. He’ll be Super Eagles player to watch & he’ll try to impress the coach & remind him he should be the new captain instead of Ahmed Musa.. On the side of the Indomitable Lions, evergreen striker Abubakar will still show his worth on the pitch. I see a 3-1 scoreline in favour of Nigeria.

With the controversy on ground with the super Eagles`s captaincy,i don`t see the Eagles doing well in this friendly match against Cameroon come on sunday, the indomitable lions of Cameroon as all he take to win this game, with Clinton Niji back for the lions,& Aboubaka,Etonude,Mandjang in the midfield we be a treat to the eagles team, for the Eagles I see Ahmed Musa, Onazi, Ighalo to perform very well in this game. My prediction is Nigeria 1 Cameron 2.

No matter the current firm of the two teams in recent years… NGR vs CMR matches are always mouth-watering. Although with NGR having the advantage with past head to head results, it has never been an easy game for the Eagles… with both teams with forwards in form… it’s expected to be a goal fest but as always, it would be a very cagey one. Oliseh has tried to bring a spirit of competition into the team and we should expect to see good performances from the starting line up! A 2-2 draw considering the exhibition factor and also the quality strikers on display.

  9. Nigeria Super Eagles’ camp as of when writing is in serious crisis. Very negative publicity in reputable tabloids all over the world, Oliseh/Ahmed Musa vs Vincent Enyeama/family. This will definitely have some sort of negative and depressing effect on the team. Thank goodness that it’s just a friendly game. Cameroon on the other end are stable with their coach, the German Volker Finke saying the match is special. So he is taking it seriously as Germans always do. With players from BARCA, Ajax, Olympique Marseille and Lyon, Sevilla, Porto, Schalke 04, Tottenham, Standard Liege, etc etc at his disposal, I wonder how our boys will cope. I have my fears. My mind tells me we will be disgraced. Another voice tells me, never take Nigeria for a ride especially when he is pressed to the wall as we find ourselves at the moment. I have to be sincere we will be beaten. Nigeria 2-4 Cameroon.

To be sincere, football is not palatable with violence and that is to say with the recent crisis going on in the eagles camp as we all know,Nigeria will find it difficult to take on their Cameroonian counterparts because of the following reasons.
1.Cameroon is no ordinary team,I believe the whole Nigerian team players and supporters see enyeama as a leader both on and off the pitch and so not seeing him in goal because of the crisis will Lessing d support for the team and also d teams morale
2.Playing a rivalry match like this requires both psychological and mental balance from the whole team and with this situation I think the Cameroonian side are up here.
Nevertheless am still optimistic Nigeria will find a means of winning this game in as much as all analysis does not give them a chance.
I give them a 1:0 win against Cameroon

Though is a friendly match but Nigeria is going to win the match against Cameroon by 2-0. also my key players are Ahmed Musa, Number shot stopper in the world Vincent Enyeama and others. But for Cameroon side Clinton Njie is a somebody to tackle. He is a great footballer but nevertheless Nigeria players will be at top level. Also Oliseh should have respect for players and address in mature manner what transpired BTW him Vincent can destabilize the whole team. Pls tell him to listen to genuine complaints. May be with our super eagle.

Oliseh knows that with the current rift in the super Eagle’s camp anything short of a win against DR Congo and at least a draw against the indomitable Lions of Cameroon will spell doom for him. But as an ardent supporter of the super Eagles am for seeing a win in the both matches though not without doubts. I predict Nigeria 2 v 0 Congo nd Nigeria 1 V 0 Cameroon

Although Nigeria and Cameroun are arc rivals when it comes to football and one would have expect a very keen and interesting contest, but going by the recent form and happenings in the camp of both teams couple with the fact that it is a friendly encounter,I think we should not expect much superlative performance from either side and the result could go either way. Also, taking holistical view of both teams, they are still team in progress to have fierce contest on world stage. All we need to do is to relax, watch and analyse the game for countinous improvement both on and off the pitch.

  20. If I am this guy, I will maintain a dignified silence. That is what humble and mature people do. I am supporting Oliseh all the way in this matter. We all remember how a small boy was brought from Athletico Madril to bench the much loved and long serving Petr Cech. It was embarrassing but he maintained a dignified silence instead of wimping, complaining and weeping over spilled milk. By saying you can’t be on the bench in a common friendly match says much about your view of this matter. You are taking yourself too high and too serious but in your club from titbits in the French papers you are nobody although you are their no1 goalie. I gather you don’t talk much because you see yourself as inferior. So why all the too much talking and bigmanism. Nigeria and Super Eagles are bigger that any player and no one will be begged to play. Play if you want to play and go if you want to go.

Nig vs Cameroon is a match to watch any day any time owing to the great rivalry  that has for long existed between these two great West African countries. Any time they meet, each side would want to thread with caution knowing fulling well the calibre of players they both have. Though Cameroon has triumph over Nigeria in AFCON-Cote d ivoire 84,Moroc 88 and Nig/Ghana 2000,i dont forsee them beating Nigeria this time around even though i dont know all the present crop of players they paraded at the moment.Though the eagles camp at the moment is being hit by the issue of captaincy, psychologically,i know it will not affect the players not to talk of the game itself because, those players invited would want to strive to justify their called up to the national team at the time being and for future called up too. Am not too good at or too shy at  predicting games but,am rest asure that,if the Eagles put their acts together and avoid cpmplecency, they will surely smile to the bank. it will surely be a cagey and physical match. Nigeria will waste a lot of oportunities. Ahmed musa will always look dangerous on the flank. Aboubakar will cause problems at the Nigerian defence. Nigeria will look better in midfield because of the presence of mikel and onazi. But in the end, the spoils will be shared equally. Nig 1 – 1 cam.

  24. One of Africa’s biggest rivalries will be renewed on sunday night when the Super eagles take on the Indomitable Lions of Cameron in Belgium. This encounter will however lack the drama, suspense and atmosphere associated with past encounters.

The last meeting between them dates back over a decade ago, in the quarter finals of TUNISIA 2004 AFCON. A sublime free kick from Jay Jay put Nigeria level just before the break after a Samuel Eto’o strike had earlier given the indomitable Lions the lead. Utaka got Nigeria the winner in the second half ensuring Nigeria exacted a sweet revenge on Cameron who denied us the AFCON trophy four years earlier when they beat us 3-2 in a penalty shootout in the final in Lagos.

Those were however the golden era of football for both countries in africa. The present crop of players paraded by both countries are nothing close to those of old who were ready to die on the pitch (literally speaking).

Nigeria might have won the nations cup two years ago but we are obviously far from what we used to be. Sunday Oliseh is still trying out players and coupled with all the crisis rocking our football, it will take a while before we see anything close to compact team in our senior national side.

Cameron have had there fair share of misfortunes too, but are gradually reaffirming their position as one of the best on the continent. Unlike their Nigerian counterpart, Cameron is yet to loose a game this year and Nigeria unfortunately doesn’t have a team strong enough to change that trend. Following the super eagles shallow performance against the leopards recently in another international friendly where they lost 2-nil, I expect Oliseh and his lads to make amends with this game, especially in defense. That said the most likely outcome is a Cameron victory. Nigeria 0 – 1 Cameron

Let me start with the oliseh vs enyeama saga. After 13years of service to the nation, i think sunday oliseh did not show enyeama enough respect and knowing the fact that he was just coming from his late mother burial. I think he should have called him separately and explain to him why he was naming musa as the new captain before gnnoucing it in the meeting. Though i’m not in support of how vincent reacted but i’m quite sure if it were to be oliseh he would do even worse. Its only a shame that all this are happening at this time. I expect sunday oliseh by now to have learnt from his predecessors ( Siasia and kechi). I think he is repeating the same mistake. To the Nigeria vs cameroon game, it is going to very difficult, losing against congo will make them want to do better. But with the current form of the team i don’t see them beating cameroon. The best the eagles can get in the game is a score draw. I expect players like musa, emenike and mikel, ikeme and onazi to do well in the game but victory is not guranteed. Its going to end either a score draw or Nigeria 0 vs 0 cameroon. Harrison, benin.

Despite the Oliseh/Enyeama saga, I am sure the players would have thrown the disappointing result of Congo DR behind them.  The match would be special due to the long time rivalry between the two teams. Sunday Oliseh in particular who was the captain when we lost to them in 2000 on penalties would not forget in a hurry how he wept like a baby after the loss, and he will use that fact to psyche up the players. I predict 3-1 win in favour of Nigeria.

Oliseh has no blame in this matter. How come Enyeama has had problems with four different coaches – Berti Vogts, Siasia, Keshi and Oliseh. He is too proud and lousy for my liking and all his ranting on social media are just defamating to Oliseh. Some of you guys blaming Oliseh have forgotten that you were not there when the incident happened and you are just crucifying Oliseh with what you have heard from Enyeama. Can he talk to his club coach like that.  If he wants to retire, let him retire.  He needs Nigeria more and Nigeria has made him what he is today.  His retirement would pave way for other upcoming goalkeepers from our league.

Although they will want to be very cautious in the game. Players like mikel, musa, emenike will play very well. I see them doing everything possible to get nigeria on the sheet. ria and Cameroon will renew their rivalry when the two sides meet in an international
friendly at the Stade Edmond Machtens in Brussels
The Super Eagles will be looking to redeem themselves after being beaten by DR Congo
on Thursday night losing 2-0 to the Leopards.
The loss probably resonated from the argy-bargy in the team’s camp few days before the game.
Former captain Vincent Enyeama had a fall out with Oliseh and subsequently left the Eagles
camp. A few hours later, he announced his international retirement.
The build up to the game had been chaotic from the start with players getting inured and
Oliseh having to make do with a little squad as he opened camp due to the inability of
some players to get entry visas to Belgium.
Cameroun on the other hand have a relatively quite time in Belgium preparing for the game
as Finke prepares his wards for the 2018 World Cup preliminary rounds with another
eye on the 2017 Afcon qualifiers next year.
The Indomitable Lions defeated Belgian Jupiler Liga side KV Oostende 3-1 on Thursday
night in a friendly game almost the same time Nigeria was humiliated by the DRC. Nigeria will welcome Chima Akas and Austin Oboroakpo who weren’t involved in
the first game because they got to Belgium late after being held up in Nigeria due to visa
issues. Oliseh will seek redemption when his team files out against Cameroun on Sunday knowing a
win will ease up the pressure from fans and boost team confidence . Njie, who is with Tottenham Hotspur, was on target in Cameroun’s win against KV
Oostende and will look for more against the Super Eagles, Musa’s pace will definitely be an issue for the indomitable defenders who is in a good-scoring form.On these notes I will predict the eagles will pip the indomitable by a goal. Nigeria 2-1 cameroon

  39. Reply Post By Tobiloba

Nigeria vs Cameron fixture easily looks like the fixture of an AFCON final. The Super Eagles have lost three finals to their neighbors, Indomitable Lions of Cameron, the last of the three finals right here in Lagos in 2000. Nigeria got revenge in 2004, beating Cameron 2-1 in a quarter final match at Tunisia 2004.

Baring the recent fracas involving new team handler Oliseh and former captain Eyeama, the later would have been the only player taking part in sundays cracker who also featured in the last meeting between the sides which was over a decade ago at the quarter finals of Tunisia 2004.

The eagles have a lot to prove after loosing to Dr Congo so I expect a very attacking game. Cameron on their part are very good and will punish any mistake by the super eagles. At the end both countries will share the spoils in a draw. Nigeria 1- 1 Cameron

Nigeria play a team (Cameroon) coming into this game as somewhat favorites by form, having not lost in their last six games. The super eagles have been poor so far, especially under the new management. The Cameroonians are favorites with the disposal of some star players making waves at both club and country (unlike their opponents) – Aboubakar, the Porto forward has been scoring goals. Nigeria lost one key factor to their team in Lille's stopper, Vincent Enyeama. A team that have been lacking the flair to perform attacking and defensively , at this stage, I don't see them bouncing back against a firing Cameroon side. I predict Nigeria 0 – 2 Cameroon. They were embarrassed by mediocre DR Congo, which was a shocker to most football fans around the globe. Nigeria needs to be patience and play as a team when they face the indomitable lions on Sunday. Cameroon on the other hand are comfortable with results. Nigeria will be looking to bounce back knowing truly well their manager's job is like a thread. Nigeria 3 – 1 Cameroon. I can’t see moral and confidence in the Eagles team over the upcoming clash against the indomitable Lions , It is very difficult for a team on diversity and misunderstanding achieve victory, the fact is that the Eagles are not prepared enough to achieve the victory they seek, I believe Sunday Oliseh is still trying to address issues with his team over the problem he had with his captain Vincent Enyama that led to his unexpected retirement, and why Musa should take over as the Eagles captain. I wish the Eagles could win the match but I can’t see it on them, and from their recent clash against Congo, I saw a weak defense line. I predict the game will end in favour of Cameroon with correct score of 1-2.

It has been wide spread that the Indomitable lions of Cameroon always dominates Nigeria especially in AFCON loosing three times against them, but I think Nigerians will prove to them that old things has passed away. Nigerians has had problem in their camp leaving their best goalie out of the camp and instead of giving the captaincy by merit the coach now decided to use MUSA instead of the Chelsea midfielder MIKEL, but any way, I saw MIKEL as a man to watch on today’s game at the side of Cameroon Vincent Abubakar who is capable of tearing defence apart, the score line 3-1 in Favour of SUPER EAGLES

  46. I will always love my country matter the situation is in the team I will always support them I wish them best of luck
