Nigerian Ibrahim Joins Second Division Turkish Club

Turkish Lig 1 (second division) side Kayseri Erciyesspor on Friday confirmed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Kabir Ibrahim from third division side, Hacilar Erciyesspor,
Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The deal, according to the player who spoke with Completesportsnigeria.com on the move, is a two-and-half years contract.

The former Jah United and Magate Football Academy Lagos youngster has also played for other Turkish lower division teams: Eskisehir Sekerspor
Cavuslu Belediyespor and Hacilar Spor.

“I hope to become a better player here. Many Nigerian players have made waves in Turkey and I want to be successful at my new club.

“There are some Nigerian players in the Lig 1 like Sunday Mba. Turkey is really becoming a haven for Nigerian players and the standard is high.

“I want to also thank my former club. They helped shape the kind of player I am today. The football education they gave me will be very important as I move on,” the left-footed midfielder told Completesportsnigeria.com.

The January transfer window in most parts of Europe closes 11pm on Monday (February 1) night.
