Nigerian youngster Blessing Eleke has set for himself a ten-goal target in the Slovenia league after he scored a second half brace in Nova Gorica’s 3-0 win over Zavrc in Tuesday’s league game.
The former Flying Sports forward gave his side the lead in the 69th minute before doubling it ten minutes later to take his goal tally to three in five games for the currently league leaders.
“I’m happy with the goals but I’m still learning the ropes to get better and I hope to score say ten this season,” he told completesportsnigeria.com.
“I am delighted to have scored and hopefully I can go on a run now and help the team to win games.”
Eleke who scored three goals in his debut season was also full of praise for his teammates who helped him score his second and third league goals for Gorica.
“I have had a few chances off Alen Jogan who scored the third goal,” he added.
“It is something we have been trying in training. It was a great ball by him and thankfully I was able to put it away.”
Gorica lead the Slovenia log with 12 points from five games and will face Domžale away on Saturday.
