Nigeria’s Latifu Joins Turkish Club Alanyaspor

By Johnny Edward:  Nigeria international defender, Akeem Latifu , has joined newly promoted Turkish Super League club Alanyaspor on a two-year deal, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The former Aalesund of Norway right-back who cancelled his contract with Ukrainian side FC Stal Dniprodzerzhynsk last season underwent a medical at the club last weekend before completing his move to the Turkish outfit on Tuesday after impressing coach Huseyin Kalpar.

"I'm going to try to do the best that I can. I'm having a look forward to the new season, " Latifu told his new club's website at his unveiling on Tuesday. 

"I am looking forward to a great pre-season and good season as well."

Latifu who has one international appearance to his name played for Ocean Boys FC and Akwa United in the Nigerian Professional Football League before departing for Norway where he starred for Aalesunds FK, IL Hodd, Strømsgodset IF.
