Nigeria’s Lovina Onyegbule (on the left in the picture displaying her medal, along with her race assistant) Thursday afternoon won her second gold medal in the T11 (physically challenged) athletics event at the on-going All Africa Games holding here in Congo Brazzaville.
Onyegbule, who on Wednesday won her first gold medal in the 200m T12 event at the games, won the gold medal in the 100m T11 with a time of 12.52 seconds.
Ivory Coast’s F.B Diasso went home with the silver medal while E.Gilcaso comforted herself with the bronze medal.
The double gold medalist could not control her joy after she was presented with the 100m T11 gold medal.
“I’m happy to win another gold medal,” Onyegbule told completesportsnigeria.com. “I thank everybody who has supported me including my coach, Adekunle Adesoji.”
